This is how you make a beginner guide. As a new player to fighting games all the combo guides out there are almost useless to me, I have no clue how to even setup the combo. This showed me show much about the genre in general. Much appreciated. Thank you.

It is so rare to find a beginner's guide that really explains when AND why to use certain moves in a way noobs like me can understand, instead of just rattling off the same stats anyone can find in a wiki. This is excellent, thank you.

Thank you for this guide. I spent way too long getting Nago’s sword shoved down my throat before realizing maybe I shouldn’t be dashing in like a blind crackhead. I wish I saw this video earlier.

now THIS is how you write a guide. thanks for giving the new players what they actually need: how to play NEUTRAL! so many people understand that new players only think that the flashy stuff is gonna win games and they take full advantage of that for the content mill. thanks a ton and keep it up!

I was obsessed with learning her combos, move frames, etc etc, but I never internalized the basics of playing her, like watching out for them. Amazing guide, perfect job!

Really refreshing to see a video focusing on fundamentals. Thanks! I now realize the importance of throws and when to do them, know some anti-airs, can better deal with zoners, and have a stronger wall game.

I'm a fighting game rookie, this video was incredibly insightful. I learned a lot about how to approach fights in general on top of Giovanna specific information. Thank you for putting this together.

Great guide, Daze! Would be cool if you start making like short videos about Gio's match ups, just like basic tips on how to approach them, what works, what to look for, etc. I'm sure there is an audience for that, me included ;]

Good shit. One thing I could use some help with is her air normals and combos. I know her K is a crossup, but beyond that I don't really know what to use when.

Love the vid man, instant fav. Any chance you could do a quick primer on air punishes? I can never quite string together j-D -> airdash -> j-D or any other fancy stuff to punish sloppy jump-ins or after counters that pop the opponent up.
@letsdaze_3 жыл бұрын
Probably won’t do anything in the way of combos unfortunately, there’s tons of vids out right now covering them atm. What I can say is those routes are just a matter of practice, it’ll only get less awkward the more you mess around with/practice it

Question, I do not know how to use numeric pad numeration or what ever you call it, but i want to play actual fighting games well, Currently i use a steam controller soooo, any tips or advice?
@letsdaze_2 жыл бұрын
Numpad notation has no relevance to your choice of controller, you can play on whatever you want, really. There’s people who play these games on modded guitar hero controllers lol, it’s all up to what you think is comfortable. The notation is only for speaking about the game and moves. No is going to say “crouching S attack”, they’re going to say “2S”, and not being aware of the notation is going to make things mad confusing. I really cannot stress how important it is to learn as a first step to getting better
@GoodOlMadly2 жыл бұрын
@@letsdaze_ AH alright that makes alot more sense to me now, this "236h" or "432s" (random moves that don't exsist btw) would always confuse me, thank you!

What about 2HS for an anti air?
@letsdaze_3 жыл бұрын
It has a bit of low profile on it, so it has it’s uses but it’s not a go to because most anti air situations where it’d be useful it loses, such as vs most character’s IADs. It’s a very situational button
