Thank you these its very helpfully in figuring out more of ino options in neutral now we should able to keep on top of other players a bit more instead of losing out to not doing much in neutral

I normally 5p anti-air into-6HS > delay or instant STBT (HS), longer carry, and hard knockdown, sometimes if you hit them too high with the second hit of 6HS, stbt may whiff but you will still be next to them to keep your pressure.

This is my first fighting game and I'm a casual Millia player that wants to pick I-no. I want to remark, at 15:50, how IMPORTANT is the advice "Is all about timing [...] timing this pretty basic options to beat what you think the opponent is going to do". When I play with Millia, quickly moving to a "strike distance" and being a threat to the opponent is really easy because her ground dash and double dash/Kapel/Turbo fall in the air, but that easy positioning isn't available to I-no, she depends of special moves to quickly traverse the screen... ...and I'm very bad at that. But her normals (and specials) are really good in covering different distances, so I'm getting better at I-no when I properly study the opponent and make an approach based on that: good hover j.S meaties to the mashers, punishing with H. stroke the whiffings, etc. I still have the bad habit on relying more on specials to engage the opponent instead of the normals, but when I remember to use them, uff, I do huge punishes, because no one is used to properly measure I-no's normals.

It might have been worthwhile in both guides to talk about the importance of fastlanding with FD. I didn't think the meter burn was worth it at first, but it opens up her 50/50 hard and now also gives her whiff punish opportunities.

Hell yeah, your guides have been a life-saver for learning Ino. Still only a floor 10 on a good day, but I've made dramatic progress through watching your guides & gameplay on twitch/youtube. Just wondering, have you ever considered doing 1-on-1 coaching sessions for Ino?

Any chance of doing the same sort of thing with your MU guide? I've been struggling with the Ky and May matchups and they've changed pretty significantly since July. In any case, this is super helpful, thanks so much.

Hmm next is specific matchups. MU information not outdates its mroe of there is hours and hours of MU stuff i can talk about, so I'ma try making MU vs HC next and see how it does

What do I do after j.s j.d midscreen without counter hit? With and without meter? With meter I guess I can just do the starter > rc combo you showed, but idk what to do without meter.
@Diaphone2 жыл бұрын
Without either s divekick or h, depends on distance to corner. With meter can just do divekick into RC combo shown

Can someone explain the dash combo in the air at about 9:00. Obviously if you just hit HS twice it sends them down. So I assume the j here doesn’t just mean you’re in the air but you’re actively jumping? I can’t make sense of the button inputs because some of the buttons here are hit without jumping even thought the notation uses the jump prefix for them. Can anyone describe for a newbie how to do this easy dash combo?
@geneticjen93122 жыл бұрын
For any other noobs watching and confused, it’s made clearer in the Google doc. Some of the buttons you just hit, and some you do a quick jump first. So although it starts j.HS, j.HS, j.S, j.HS, j.P… that’s actually HS, j.HS, j.S, HS, P (can’t remember the rest of the combo). Part of the problem for me as a noob starting with Ino is that I rely on the dash to get in the air so much that I forget sometimes you need to actually jump with 7, 8, or 9 movement. I obviously jump like that for dodging a projectile or sometimes to do a quick dive attack but when I see something like j.S I always read that as dash S, which is probably a bad habit.
