@@Kameno-o No I agree, I love the story too! But yeah I feel most of the time, especially in the arcade mode stories from Rev(2), we the viewer, are left to figure out what's going on ourselves. Or the context isn't clear or related to anything. Strive seems to be going for a set story though which is nice. I'd be happy with a story where Dizzy goes to the Grove to meet Testament again or something more relaxed. That's if we get a season 3 and a story. I'm curious how Bridget and Testament would fit into the story without characters like Jam and Dizzy who were important in the older games. I dunno, maybe I'm being too ambitious lol

I'm so happy that ArcSys now has the physics to have his flag be unfurled the entire fight. It's such a cool idea for a weapon and lends itself to dynamic and fun animations

Arcsys never uses physics or automation in their GG animations. Every frame is done by hand like claymation, which is even more impressive.

@@testsubject747 I KNOW that's something I hate about modern 3D animation, just leaving it all to a physics program doesn't have the same effect. Sugarpunch did a good vid covering Rock Howard from some snk game and how he made a smooth transition to 3D because they kept things key animated.

Also I'm seeing a trend here where u keep making new characters with 2nd meters that let u do combos as big and complex as the older games. I like the idea. But this will lead to bloat soon. As the best characters will be the ones with all the funny tools. I mean, nago and HC r kinda annoying for this reason, they don't have to play by the strict combo rules everyone else does. I played a lot of sin in the old game. Don't get me wrong I'm super happy he is back. But I see a dark future for this game if u don't give these types of characters some kind of flaw.

You'd think having their playstyle barred behind a resource would limit them, but they're all able to gain it back so easily/effortlessly, it just makes them crazy strong. I hope they tone it down over the course of this season, and add some simpler characters like Testament or Bridget with no meter involved. It'd be a breath of fresh air compared to the "Oops! All meter!" situation we have going on at the moment. At the end of the day I love the game and will continue to play, but it is starting to fall down a bit of a rabbit hole lately, with how these newer characters keep getting extra resources.

@@swanlord4292 100% why I said this lol. It's a cool idea, older players will gravitate towards them for the implied difficulty of resource management. Only to instead realize that these guys r specialists with no real weakness. HC has Godlike neutral, God like harass, and godlike combo flexibility. Same with nago, Leo and Ram. They all have some kind of rekka or command normal combo that let them get way more damage and get to play a lot less safe for equal rewards. The moral of the story is, these guys should be more like ino. Ino has Godlike mixups cause of her hoverdash, but cause of that she sucks in a handful on neutral options, and has no meterless way to take her turn back. Be more like ino guys lol. Cause even if she is annoying in some aspects. You can at least take solace in the fact that she is abusable other ways in turn.
