If you activate it while trying to pressure and then they reverse the situation before you can take advantage you're screwed though lol. Definitely have to be careful, but the reward is WELL worth the risk which is why it's so cool.

@@wolflance64 he has no meterless reversal, no air dash and is slow. If you look at it all he has is mixup, pressure and range, he is straight up high risk high reward. It’s pretty obvious that chipp, millia and axl are gonna destroy him easy in the matchup and I use all 3 characters, on top of this damn near everything he does fills that blood meter so it makes his command grab telegraphed as you straight up know what a nago will think to do based on the meter. So yes if I bring out my chipp or millia im clapping this man with high speed frame traps and mix and there’s nothing he can do.

Either way, here are the aswers: About him being nuts: Being nuts doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be top tier. He's probably not bad by the looks of every character guide and the videos we already have, we already saw him doing lot's of cool combos. But even if he ends up as a Low Tier. His gameplay will still be nuts. He has incredible damage, lot's of rekkas and blood rage. And if you're talking about the fact I want to main him: Honestly, I main characters because they look cool, and have interesting playstiles. It's the same for lot's of people. He's a Vampire Samurai. I was already thinking about maining him just by that fact. I love A.B.A in AC+R, because of Moroha Mode. Bloodrage mode is different than Moroha mode, yes, I know. But some of the same "mode change" concepts apply for Nagoriyuki as well. And after watching this video, honestly, Zansetsu looks like the coolest move I've seen so far in this game. It's an interesting way to get out of bloodrage and with some mindgames/reads you'll be able to either get out of the mode doing A LOT of damage or even win the round with this move. All the animations Nagoriyuki have are amazing looking, the way he puts back his mask after bloodrage ends/zansetsu is so cool. I really liked this character. The way he looks, the way he's animated, his moveset. Everything.

@@iDrKx I got you, I've been in the trenches defending the comment sections but people see 1 video of Giovanna and they think she's trash tier when she was CLEARLY not playing to her full potential. There is already leak gameplay which turned that on it's head, but I imagine when the guide comes out it'll dispel a lot of the "looks boring" too. Same thing with Ramlethal, although her guide came out, they didn't go into tech or her game plan or anything so people see she's weakened without her swords and they think she's trash tier, even though her sword normals are GOD tier in this game and shooting her swords in the corner applies a ton of pressure and you can pick them up for free. The video kept mentioning that her moves have less range without her swords but downplay how much pressure she applies in the corner when she shoots them and it's only doom and gloom for the people who haven't tested her yet and haven't even tried to come up with strategies on how to MAKE her good.

Ok so i think i understand NAGORIYUKI's Blood Meter All his special moves build the blood gauge Blocking, hitting with normals and his command grab reduces the meter So you just have to keep a balance of Normals and Special Moves.

he looks super cool.. but the blood rage looks incredibly unfun to play around.. and once you enter the blood rage, a defensive opponent could make it incredibly frustrating to get out, since you lose your command grab, or your specials for mix..

The blood gauge seems to fill too fast right now, but I’m liking the idea otherwise. It adds a very major choice in how you want to play the character compared to others.

@@lmoa3917 Something interesting that I noticed is that the blood gauge doesn't fill instantly when doing an special. It just varies in speed depending on the amount of specials that you input consecutively. That gives some time to go for the grab, for example.

maybe.. but it makes it quite obvious as to what you're going for!! an important thing to note that isn't covered in this video for some reason is that not attacking seems to lower the blood gauge, and some specific moves.. but i don't know, it doesn't seem very fun to play as right now!! but maybe that'll change with the beta.. also, personally i feel like the blood gauge slowly increasing is a bit odd, because i feel it makes it more difficult to gauge your distance than if it was immediate, like sin's calorie gauge.. and the delay can let your opponent rush in for an even bigger punish on the blood rage animation!
