The fatal flaw in the plan for this video is that every single song that was upvoted enough to appear here had to be genuinely enjoyed by a reasonable number of people, by definition, so there isn't anything *too* bad on the list. The video is still great, mind you.

@@rashotcake6945 I always find it funny when people list a song that has like 30+ million views and a positive rating. Like sure, maybe in the very snobby music review scene everyone just hates a band like Imagine Dragons almost instantly, nobody outside of the music review scene would scoff at you for liking imagine dragons (or the odds of running into a person that would, is very low) they're one of the most popular bands for a reason. Same goes for listing songs like Dance Monkey, congrats you like a song that has 1.7 billion views and for most people is enjoyable lol.

@@BrandingChangeYep well personally if I liked a song from Imagine dragons I would probably feel a little embarrassed to tell someone else, for me a guilty pleasure song doesn't mean that it isn't generally well liked, it just has to go against what you would typically listen to, or make you embarrassed to say you like it your friends or something imo

Protip for anyone who's burnt out on Careless Whisper's sax snippet: listen to the extended cut! The one everyone's familiar with is a cut they made to play on the radio, the original album version starts with some soft instrumentation and the second verse of the song before the sax riff kicks in a minute and a half into the song. I really can't describe how much I love this song when it's got that minute and a half buffer. It doesn't feel like you're being honked at against your will, it gives the song room to breathe and the sax riff feels deserved after all that build-up.

I'm not a Foo Fighters fan, but I quite enjoy My Hero. I don't understand why it's considered a guilty pleasure, although the main reason I like it is because it was featured on an advert for Takeshi's Castle. Also the riffs and drums are pretty good, my only real complaint is the lead guitar tone is pretty bad, especially in the licks after the choruses.

My guilty pleasure songs are probably Train - Soul Sister and Jason Mraz - I'm yours. They're often panned for being cheap, poppy guitar riff to lovey soft, wispy croon singy boi songs that are usually the songs a douche learning guitar learns first to convince women he can play guitar to smash them, and yes I know the one line of Soul Sister is referring to a blowjob but, damnit, I just appreciate the vibes man. I like mellow, soothing music that exudes happiness and for the most part I tend to dig upbeat tempos meant to make you feel happy and relaxed, even if they're very corporately designed that way. So sue me. And yeah, I still think Soul Sister's kind of a cute song about a guy who just really digs his girl, even if the lines are dumb and ones about getting a blowie.

Man those two bop! I've recently got into Camellia, and while not all of their songs are great, I love GHOST, Machinegun Psystyle, and Night Raid With a Dragon.

The thing about I Ran by Flock of Seagulls is that it's not Space Age Love Song. Space Age Love Song just sounds so much more passionate. It just feels more genuine
