I gave up climbing 20 years ago and I have always missed working up trees , gearing up in the morning, climbing up etc , every branch cut , undercutting, throwing a chain , roping and zip lining branches down made me feel like I was back at work doing what I love to do ❤ , thank you for the feelings of reliving my past .

I think most places have similar laws atleast if your a employee if you work for a small company were things are not watched as close or are self employed that’s were you can really do what I want. Kinda why I contract climb not that I don’t try an be safe an follow the rules but I look at rules as guidelines were situations in are line of work are not always black an white right or wrong sometimes doin what is technically wrong is actually right an more safe anyway don’t be a rush take your time that my biggest mistakes when I was younger was alway trying to be first or faster or competitive against others just do you at your own speed and always an I mean always take the time to look around an enjoy the view

Well was cutting down a large silver maple on the east coast the other day and once I got to the top and made the first cut it was full of yellow jacket bees. Be safe cutting down some trees. Just wondering have you ever gotten in to any bees cutting down trees? Thanks for the post

I love a 395 with 28 but I’m east coast guy. I run 3 different bars on my 395. But 28 full comp is 👍 I do believe in the longer bars or just long enough to Stand Up an Buck like BBR says

Agreed. I'm not tall so a 24 about gets me there and helps save the back. I only cut a handful of over-bar trees a year. Just a firewooder. But I do a whooole lot of bucking because of that. Still want to try a 28.
