As someone who also has a vag and identifies as a woman, I love Transformers. Top 20 movie for me. 10 yo me sitting in that theater with Linkin Park sending off the credits had me GAGGED. I learned that shit on piano, I started watching the animated show, I was hooked. A favorite deep cut of mine is in the first act, Josh needs the phone and Tyrese yells that its in his pocket but he can't find it and so he screams , "left cheek! left cheek! left cheek!" Don't ask when I use that one but it has been used in real situations.

As someone who grew up with Transformer, the Original was ok, after the movie everything declined. Beast Wars revived the franchise and without it, it wouldn't be here. The movies were what revitalized it again. It's been a fun ride :).

Listening to Zack's rant about Hoover makes me realized that he may have flunked American History. Herbert Hoover was the President, J. Edgar Hoover was the head of the FBI. The Stock market crash under Hoover started the Great Depression, not a Recession. Those are two very different events.

I love Ironhide! Still mad about Transformers 3 As a woman I did love this movie, the one to start it all! Although I have to say, the first is the best of the Bay directed Transformers movies. Bumblebee and the lastest one have been amazing and honestly, I do prefer the look of them, sorry Zach But I hear you about Bay having a specific recognisable style

She is wrong, horribly horribly wrong, transformers was almost an immediate success from the moment that Hasbro imported the figures over to an American market to turn them into a TV show

Yeah, that was weird. The toyline ran from 1984-1990 in the US, the cartoon ran for 3+ seasons (98 episodes) and a feature film, the Marvel comic (which hit shelves before the toys or cartoon) ran from 1984-1991. Not sure where the failure was. And even when it eventually died out, it only took 2-3 years for its first reboot as Generation 2...
