The Robinson R44 is a lightweight 4-seat Lycoming piston engine helicopter produced by the manufacturer Robinson Helicopter since 1993.
The Robinson R44 is derived from the Robinson R22, a lighter 2-seater version marketed since 1979.
Over the years, this machine has established itself with the new versions R44 Raven and R44 Raven II. Combining reliability and performance, it has become the world's best-selling helicopter in its category. To date, almost 7,000 R44s have been delivered.
Its maximum take off weight is 1134kg, its maximum speed of 130 kts, and its price tag of around $ 500,000.
The Guimbal Cabri G2 is a two-seat light helicopter produced by the french manufacturer Hélicoptères Guimbal, and powered by a reciprocating engine. Designed by Bruno Guimbal, a former Eurocopter engineer, it had its origins in the 1980s, and the first demonstrator flew in 1992. Following the granting of regulatory approval, the Cabri entered commercial service in 2008.
