I really, really love how the devs have balanced dots to make them all feel unique, but I espeically love what they're doing with Burn where it might be the weakest on its own but certain characters get bonuses for attacking enemies with burn (or enemies taking burn damage in the case of Guin's firekiss). It's really cool and makes me excited to see what burn characters are gonna be like in the future!

burn is the weakest BREAK DoT, but the fire break actually has decent burst damage, so breaking toughness still makes good damage, just, more burst and less DoT, and the fact that it's weak on its break doesn't mean fire DoT is weak in general, if the character generating the DoT (through their skill rather than through break) has high multipliers like Guen; then she's gonna do a ton of damage regardless :D

@@nigelxd3735 well, wind break damage being able to stack is not exactly remarkable, it's always 3 stacks and does always the same damage, if it was just one stack doing three times the damage it would have been exactly the same, lightning also has nothing particularly special, since kafka can detonate everything, and Serval can only extend it, which is very minor, it's only bleed that is ACTUALLY somewhat special

Well I did get 3 separate instance of burn on one target with trial guin comp. One could've been from asta but 2 burns plus wind shear or bleed will be busted. That and having more full dot variety. Fire weaknesses will finally have to actually break/burb dot them.

Damn, I'd avoided the hype around Guinaifen so I didn't know she was a DoT character. Now I gotta pull for her! DoT team needs some love since I'm having a hard time making Luka work for me. Beautiful redhead with an army of ditings at the ready and is a proper fire element? Yes, please!

Luka is strong but super niche, he's a good sub DPS against Physical weak elites or bosses. Since he can break real fast, you want to balance EHR, break effect and attack on him. He's kind of stat hungry because his base defenses are so low and you'll want some subs to not get one shot lol.

I'm planning on using her with Kafka, Asta, and Fire Trailblazer + Trend of the Universal Market - Trailblazer has issues sustaining defense in the more difficult content, but the burn + fire damage synergy seems reaaally fun. I've already been using this as my main Kafka team (just with Sampo instead of Guinaifen)

I really like Guinaifen because she's a reliable burn application unit - allowing 'Woof Walk Time' to break out for destruction characters. I really think Guniaifen w/ Pearl's of Sweat + Destruction Character with WWT will be a powerful F2P option in the future.

We already have that actually, in simulated universe world 6, Bronya can cleanse debuffs on Cocolia. But that's the only one I can think of, so getting more would be cool

In my opinion I think we'll eventually sooner or later be getting lots more enemies that have annoying abilities like skill point theft and debuff cleansing it would be a good counter to all the skill point dependent characters they've been producing like Imbibitor Lunae who is extremely inclined to hoard skill points on each turn and we're being given lots of abundance characters with cleanse like our new Lynx so it would only fair for more enemies with a matching ability to be more common if only to keep the game equally challenging for all players except for the uber whales makes me excited for new enemies but paired with the immaculate characters design on every single enemy I'm ready for whatever they're ready to throw at us

I pulled for Imbibitor Lunae, got him in 12 pulls (unfortunately it was from the pity of Kafka’s banner SO I THINK I WAS 12 PULLS AWAY FROM KAFKA 😭😭😭) And I’ve somehow managed to pull Guinaifen 3 times by accident while pulling for Imbibitor Lunae AND Black Swan- I decided I should attempt to build her and she’s genuinely quite good!

DoT still benefits from elemental dmg bonus. so similar to genshin, even tho an atk sands is still viable to atk scaling characters, the dmg boost provided from an elemental dmg bonus piece is better than an atk piece with similar subs

If you’re dealing with enemies weak to fire choose EoP because you want to break fire shield, if not then Pearly Sweat since you can’t break the enemies shields. Broken enemies = you can stack DoT on them. Non broken enemies = you want to maximize your DoT damage because you can’t break their shield so you shred their DEF% instead. Both is good.

Break effect = dmg from dot on break. Which it's better to atk%. Maybe worth chasing for 4th slot on sub but not worth more then atk/spd or dmg increase.

You can have max 6 Fire DoTs source, if you break the enemy before the firts Fire DoT Break expires... Obviously considering the enemi has Fire Weakness
