Guinaifen and Diting reminds me fondly of my childhood. I remembered that every New Year we'd invite adult Diting to our house and have them perform their dance. I also remembered watching some unreal acrobatic performance on a stage somewhere. They performed act such as sword swallowing, breaking stone slab on chest, and so on, which blew my child mind away. Unfortunately, time has changed and these things are rarely seen, nowadays.
Also, I just want to make video about Diting. Please make him permanent in overworld, Hoyoverse. I beg,

despite not being chinese, i live in singapore where i'm surrounded by chinese culture. so i got excited seeing diting and lion dance in her splash art. i don't celebrate chinese new year, but i've always loved the lion dance performances they put on at school. though i think it's a bit strange that she was released now instead of new year

The funny part is that Guinaifen is basically a foreigner who is just incredibly dedicated to her performance craft. And really dove into the culture while in the Loufu. I still joke that she comes from Space Britain (she has the same name as King Arthur’s wife).

You're pretty much correct there. Additionally, one of her brother's name is Lancelot.

@@pianime94 That is… a peculiar choice considering the implications it would bring. Guinevere had two sisters in most famous tales, and in the Lancelot stories she had a brother named Gotegin I think. They could have done some research beyond simply popular media and they would have found the names easily.

I’m not Chinese but since we have some similar things in culture (and yes we also have the ethnic minority ones in Vietnam, I’m Vietnamese btw) this video is very interesting for me to see 😊
