I'm glad my new one is learning how not to be phased by my gadgets. My dorky self has recently let him nap w/ me to yt guinea pig music too ...(which works btw) 😅🤭🤓. But I was paranoid about him hearing this. He doesn't seem the least bit phased w/ his constant eating & popcorning tho. 😭😥 I knew I had to eventually come across this. The son I never had 🤗... I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels awkward about this. I don't wanna go at his furry male parts but I'm gonna have to. Now I know how.

I have just recovered from a near on anxiety attack thinking one of my boy piggies had a tumour when it was actually a piggy willie. I am so relieved after a stressful day that I am quite happy to feel a fool and let others laugh at me. Thank you for sharing this. I got my new boy piggy neutered and the vet said he could not be washed until he was completely healed. Two weeks later and he needs it bad. I keep telling him he’ll be able to hang out with the girls soon and that seems to make him feel a bit better. Hopefully Spike will be as brave as Timmy!

I know this is an old video so I might not get an answer. I have two boys. They are still very young (4 month old). Their genitals are so small. I don’t think I can clean that anytime soon. They don’t seem like they need it RN though. Is there any age requirement for the piggies to start doing this?

I try to answer all of my messages. You should at least check them by six months. We offer free health checks at the LA Guinea Pig Rescue, but you can see in my video it's not that difficult. At least pop out the penis and checking make sure it is clean. You cannot hurt them if you are firm and gentle

Scotty's Animals I did their boar cleaning today. There was a lot of stuff in their butt, but their manparts were clean. One of them was crying a little bit but was calm and “helpful” the other one was a tough one. He is a very adventurous piggie, and is very impatient. He bit me several times and tried to escape. He likes being mischievious. But after the cleanse they didn’t “hate” me as much as I expected.

I'm so glad I came across this video last night I was so worried my little baby boy little foot was constipated so I ended up picking him up and massaging his bum with a warm q tip he peed and I researched that you can used lube or olive oil to get in there and it helped him so much he stopped making high pitched frustrated constipated noises and I got a good night's rest literally went on reddit searched guinea pigs and got so many recommendations tips especially to your channel so thank you ❤

Thank God for you, man. I was made aware of a little white spike in my guinea pig, Jerry, two weeks ago. I cleaned him and picked up his brother, Ben, to check and give his bath and there was a white discharge covering his penis. I cleaned him very gently with coconut oil and he seemed much happier. I’ve been procrastinating since Friday and I’m checking him again and bathing booties.

Aww the information is fab I’ve just got three boars....I only went for 8 week old brothers but they gave me a year old lad as they no longer wanted him.....and he is reluctant to let me do anything to him......even just trying to touch his cheek he goes nuts... ha learning curve still been an owner of rescues many many years but im still amazed at what i find grass spell crust slime semen plug you name it boars are not very clean but there adorable and it s amazing how many people dont know they rely on us for everything one poor boar had been left so long the impaction was solid omg he was like concrete took two hour to soak him enough to release the awfull gunk the smell was so bad we where gipping but that pig gave us kisses i bet he felt like a new piggy he even popcorned poor guy i love your videos and im leaning still so much thank you and timmy is was adorable so cute

for abyssinians (possible other breeds too, I have 2 adult abbys and 2 baby abbys) it is normal, if he’s missing hair in other places he could have mange or ringworm, so keep an eye out if you notice thin or bald patches!

One of my piggies had this problem and I really *did not* want to do this 🤢😷 The pet store lady who had 3 guinea pigs recommended digestive support cookies to help with this constiaption. Here’s a tip for people who are squeamish about animal privates and poop: All I did was start feeding my piggy one *OXBOW natural science for digestive support* cookie daily and he was pooping like normal after 1 week. Now I give him 1/2 to 1 piece a day to maintain good gut health and healthy stool. It’s great for preventing consitpation.

Scotty I see you on Facebook all the time as well I just wanted to say you’re such a loving person toward your piggies. You have a kind heart. One of my boys has been sick for a number of years and it situation is a little worse. He has like this open sack where I pick him up, and he’s got like 12 poops all in a bundle sticking out of his butt. So it’s like his butt is stretched out holding the bundle of poop. So I remove it and clean that out. Do you know what I mean? It’s kind of weird.

I’m so scared to clean them down there I am getting two guinea pigs off of my cousin and she has never bathed them and she has had them for almost a year. When I met them the other day they would only hide in their hut and wouldn’t come out and they sounded like they were in pain when I picked them up. How do I know if I need to take them to a vet for further treatment down there. Would they need any type of numbing cream perhaps?

Hey Scott! Your videos are really helpful, thank you. I recently took in a boar who's about 7 maybe 8 and hes been alone his entire life and was in a very small pet store cage. Hes not in a c&c 4x2. Thanks to your videos I have been much more confident in caring for him ( I was only supposed to take his hamster brother but he needed rescue too) and I'm curious about finding him a friend, should they be similar in age? I have 2 neutered males, aged 2 and 3. Thankfully, I haven’t had to do this yet. Apparently, the neutered males don’t have as much impaction problems. The boys let me know they were highly insulted by this exam at their last wellness check. All my pigs (5) complain loudly at Bi-Weekly lump and bump checks. I really enjoy your videos, but have to wonder what stage of life I have achieved, where I watch an entire video devoted to guinea pig penis cleaning and boar impaction.

Hey scotty! I've watched this so many times to make sure I'm doing my boys right when the time comes. The guinea rescue in my area said I have to clean Donnie every two weeks because he is dominant and drags his junk around. He winces and makes little noises in pain when hes peeing so I usually check it then... Is there something else I should be doing if he's frequently in discomfort? The tip is very red and his willy is dry so I use Bepanthen to soothe.... I just feel so bad for little Donnie!!! Any advice welcome

Thank you for uploading this video. I noticed my piggy Haggis was a wee bit bigger at the rear than usual. Your video made me more confident to do a cleaning as i didn't want to hurt him through ignorance. Haggis is now a lot happier, but i swear i am getting some scowls from him.
