Guinness 0% - Is it just as good as the real thing?

It's my favourite 0% beer by far, because Guinness is so distinct, it's not just about the flavour, but you also get the unique mouthfeel and Nitro bubbles with this too, just like the real thing. I had a regular Guinness the other day, and I do prefer it, it's less sweet and has that aroma that is unique to alcohol, but the 0% is very good. I have both in the fridge now, :)

I started drinking 0% beers in November 2022 on my own volition (aka started having bad reactions to drinking alcohol). I've tried a lot of 0%...Heineken makes a good one. Stella makes a great one. Guinness makes the best. No contest. If you love regular Guinness Stout, you will LOVE Guinness 0

Same! Except I had to stop in October 😂. I like the Heineken and Stella ones, too. San Miguel was a pleasant surprise. As a German, I have been disappointed with what they put out so far. Either way, none of them come close to Guinness 0.0. They truly perfected it.

It’s an amazing NA beer. Only taste difference is it’s missing the slight iron after taste of regular Guinness which is not a bad thing. It’s very easy to drink.

I tried my first Guinness 0.00 just the other day and was amazed how similar it is to the alcoholic version, to the point where you can barely differentiate between the two. They've done a great job with these ..

I stopped drinking 12 years ago and the AF beers then were woeful. How things have changed. I was absolutely amazed the first time I tried Guinness 0.0 - it’s so good I have friends who drink it though the week as they want to cut down on their alcohol consumption. Also good is Erdinger AF - a very different drink, crisp and refreshing. But Guinness 0.0 is the absolute king of AF beers and deservedly popular

I mean Guinness is 36 cal /100g while Guininess 0 is 17 cal/100g so drinking this not only saves you on the health effects of alcohol but also its half the calories by volume

I had a friend donate some non-alcoholic beers for me to feature on my channel. Most were not that good (the Partake IPA was OK), but I would give Guinness 0 a try!

The only ones I've tried so far have been a few of the Wellbeing Brewing beers and I wasn't very impressed. I was a little hesitant to try this one but it turned out pretty good!

@@DraftTherapy I like craft NA beers, but they are kind of... weird, and don't usually taste like their alcoholic counterparts. The two that taste the most like real beer that I've tried are Athletic Brewing's gose (which tastes more or less exactly like a gose, but is unfortunately seasonal), and Sam Adams Just The Haze.

Athletic Brewing Company's Run Wild IPA is absolutely amazing for an AF beer. I'm currently doing Dry January and whenever I have a can I feel like I'm cheating... The first time I had it I kept checking the can to make sure it was still AF and not a tasty 4% session beer. When an AF beer truly successfully convinces your brain with it's flavour, mouthfeel and finish it triggers dopamine and you get that happy, satisfied feeling associated with actually having alcohol. It's the only AF beer I've had so far to achieve that.

I got this from Businessinsider.com: "A widget is a hollow, spherical piece of plastic with a tiny hole in it - it looks like a little ping pong ball. During the canning process, brewers add pressurized nitrogen to the brew, which trickles into the hole along with a little bit of beer. The entire can is then pressurized. When you open the can, the pressure inside the can drops to equalize with the pressure in the room. Since the pressure inside the widget is still much higher than the pressure in the beer around it, the nitrogenated beer from inside the widget squirts into the beer - providing a burst of tiny bubbles of nitrogen gas that rise to the top of beer, giving it a thick, creamy head you'd get straight from the tap. Guinness brewers first patented the idea of the widget in 1969, but it wasn't until 20 years later in 1989 when they released their first-generation widget, which was a flattened sphere that sat at the bottom of the can. This little piece of plastic did its job well when serving the beer cold, but when served warm, the beer exploded everywhere after the can was cracked open."
