Guinness NitroSurge on O'Hara's Irish Stout Nitro! [The Pin Method]

I tried O'Haras at the Manchester Beer Festival last year and thought it was levels above Guinness. I tried to order online but had issues shipping to UK mainland and haven't been able to find it anywhere else !

So this will work with any nitro stout? I have some forged for Friday and Hawkstone black to try for Saturday. Iv never had either I was always a lager drinker until recently and ended up buying a nitrosurge a few months ago and picked up a Fizzics a few days ago

The short answer is yes, this will work with any nitro flushed beer. The slightly more complex answer is yes, provided the beer has enough nitrogen to benefit from using the device. There’s no way to really determine this without trying them both with and without the nitrosurge, but in short; the majority of beers are better via this method, but there are a few with a lesser amount of nitrogen to begin with that don’t benefit and are better poured out the can. General rule of thumb; if the can is the same size as a standard 440 - pour out the can. If the can is larger to allow for a head of nitro, use the nitrosurge. Hope that helps!

I love O'Haras stout, nit many places sell it on tap in Ireland because of guinness not wanting it near them in any pub, if you have it guinness won't sell it to you
