Ayanna Williams had been growing her nails for over 25 years but she finally decided it was time for the ultimate manicure.
Measured at a final length of 733.55cm (24ft 0.7in), Ayanna holds the current record for the longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female) - a record title she has held since 2017.
Dr. Allison Readinger of Trinity Vista Dermatology in Forth Worth, Texas, USA, was the dermatologist in charge of the cutting; admitting it was her first time doing a procedure on this scale!
The nails will first be on show at Ripley's Believe It Or Not! in Orlando, Florida.
In the immediate future, Ayanna plans to grow her nails again, but not quite to the length she previously measured at.

I just rewatched her episode about her long toenails on My Strange Addiction and came across this video and I'm so glad she finally decided to trim her fingernails cuz she felt like they were another limb in the episode. I see she also trimmed her toes down and I wonder what made her want to do it after so many years after being diagnosed with diabetes more than 10 years ago. Her nails had such an elegant curve and grew so well. I think she let them grow becuase of this. They were really unique and beautiful. I remember when I was little, just probably a mere 3rd grader, reading the Guinness Book of Records in the library and reading about this woman. Now I’m in highschool, watching this same woman cut these nails that I would’ve wanted when I was little. I never thought of the consequences when I was little, but now imagine what a relief it is to finally be able to do things without being worried of her nails.
