Amplification is a big contributor to hearing slides. Scratches would not be nearly so noticeable without amplification. (There are microphones that do not pick up every squeak.) As a guitarist, I too must be careful about minimizing excess slide sounds. All that being said, the quality of playing is excellent! The performance was superb and full of much to be appreciated. I enjoyed the sensitive and well-executed interpretations. Yuri is truly an up-in-coming artist who will no doubt go very far in the guitar world. Bravo!
