This video is very useful. Usually experts do not go on details on how to do this at a level that is useful to first time guitar makers or hobbyist.

is your sanding disk surface flat or with a radius? if it's a radius, do you have a video of how you made it?

Hello, with that you will only get a forced radio, the radio is obtained by means of a mold with radio for the soundboard and another mold with a different radius for the back . You with that system are forcing both, especially the soundboard. which is flat

Hi Khai, Your videos and your workshop amazing. Thanks, I still don't understand yet, why acoustic guitar soundboard can't be flat, but 40" radius? How about Classical Guitar soundboard it can be flat or much have radius also? Thank yo so much!

Some sources say that the radius adds structure to support the downward pressure of the strings (175 lbs) . This along with the bracing and bridge plate keeps the guitar from caving inwards. Some say it enhance the tone. I can say I do notice that after I braced the top in a radius. It does seem that it has a tighter response and longer decay when I tap it. As to the sound I think it is subjective. ( It rings like a bell!)

@@nguyenkhai1 Thank you so much Khai, so for Soundboard we are going to use 40" Radius and for Backboard 15" or 28" Radius right?
@nguyenkhai14 жыл бұрын
@@kevinofficial6980 40 feet radius is really flat. In the video I think I'm using a 25ft on the top and 15 ft on the backside.

It will be much easier to take the disc to the guitar instead of the guitar + mold and spreader clamps to the disc. You're gonna kill your back that way. The build is looking really nice!
@nguyenkhai17 жыл бұрын
+Ramon Tristani It's has 30ft radius on one side and 15ft on the other, with it being square and 2 pieces of 3/4 MDF it is really heavy. I feel it would break the sound hole if I accidentally put to much pressure on that edge ( sound hole on this build is on the side of the upper bout bass side). I was thinking of building a motorized radius disc, but it wasn't too bad just doing it by hand.
