Hey Ryan! Couple of requests for the time being. 1)Stargazer by Mother Love Bone - Don't know if you've heard it but you should. I don't think PJ have covered it but TOTD did it on their recent tour. I also read it in some article that the song was very close to Andy. 2) This one is a doubt. The song Society from Into the Wild has lessons in b minor. In the performance of Ed with Johnny Depp, it's A minor. That's what I can make out from Ed's progression. Can you do a lesson on that performance particularly (even if I'm wrong with the scale). Especially Johnny's solo and some of the dynamics which he uses. 3) This is a silly one. If you, by any chance, have any contact with anyone from Pearl Jam or if you can float the word around, please ask them to tour India. By the way, keep uploading the videos. You do an awesome job in spreading and teaching the music which has inspired many.
@RyanLendt7 жыл бұрын
What's up Suhail! You're correct about Society, that is in Am :) I'd be happy to do a video on that... and I think you're the second to request Stargazer so I guess that's coming up soon! Thank you SO much for your kind words, and for watching and being a part of my little channel. It's an honor to be of help :) Say hello to India for me! (and no, I don't have any contact with anyone from Pearl Jam... YET! haha)

Yea I am an Europian guy that had a major problem with string or else tone name it self. B = H This war will never stop hahaha
Cool, love this tune. Ed introduced it as 'Garden of Stone' on the pearl jam 20 movie/cd....wonder if that was at Stones request? :) Thanks again for Animal, I keep trying that riff, and as simple as it looks, its still a beast. If you watch the first time they played Animal live on MTV Stone makes it look so easy! Check the link at 1:14 kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4a4e3Rjgr2bqKc. Also how can you distinguish betwwen a stone part and a Mike/Ed part? I think I can recognise Stones touch on songs but I never know if its him or mike doing the lead....unless mike is doing his Jimi bit then it's deffo him! :) Do you like the song 'Go'? that might be tough to learn? How about showing us Release, that is meant to be ok to learn. Keep up the good work buddy.
@RyanLendt7 жыл бұрын
Or maybe Garden of Stone was a joke of sorts :) I mean, ok... so Mike's yield contributions were uncharacteristic as usually Mike tends to write with open chords, whereas Ed tends to write like he plays the thing in his hands fantastically well but may or may not know what he's doing the way the rest of the world knows what he's doing (that tends to be the way I write as well. I get the feeling isaac Brock of modest mouse plays that way too) take letterman for example, one shape that moves up and down, and not for you... same deal. Stone's riffs tend to be something that nobody else on earth would think about for any reason, take Rival, it's not fast or hard, but you learn how to play it and you go WTF how did he come up with that? Stone is also most likely to write in an alternate tuning or play out of scale notes in his riffs. One reason I like seeing Brad (stone's other band) live is, apart from the fact that you can do it in a dive bar and be one of thirty people there, you can experience stone riffs, usually the transitions, unfiltered by Pearl Jam. I don't know how much of an answer that is, but those are some of my thoughts :)
@titep13297 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the reply! :) Yeah I love brad too and was lucky enough to see them in London a while back. Check KZbin for bits of that show. Stone is an awesome guitar player. Footsteps is another great video of yours. Keep up the good work buddy.
