Hello Ryan, you do an excellent job and help beginners and I'm guessing some intermediates. tremendously. I would never tell you what to say on your channel, but when you say it's in drop C#, which it is, just say Drop D tuned down half a step. You may confuse some of the youngster's just starting out. But another fantastic job as always Ryan!! 🎸🤟👍

hey thanks BB :) for sure. knowing who i'm talking to is obviously a shot in the dark. sometimes I do more explaining and sometimes less, depending on my mood, figuring that anyone who needs to know can do some googling, and anyone who already knows doesn't want to hear me explain it. In the scientific community, we call this a "crapshoot" :)

@Christoph 'Angry Chair' is very simple as you were implying. 'Angry Chair' for the verse you're just hitting the open low E string, then the A string on the second fret (a B note) go back and strike the low E string again and then the A string on the 3rd fret giving it a good half step slow bend. The pre-chorus is just a F Major power chord and a E Major power chord and then bend the low E string on the 5th fret, with is an A to a B with some vibrato. The chorus is an A power chord in second position, B power chord, an F# power chord in 2nd position and a G chord in 3rd position or G power chord in 3rd position. And last, but not least. The second part of the chorus Cantrell just hits a A power chord, then a B power chord and an E major chord and bends the 5th fret of the low E string to the pitch of B with a whole step bend. Pretty simple!🎸🤟

Hey Ryan, Ryan. Thanks for doing this one, so fun to play. One correction: the most zen part. I’ll use the string letter designations from E standard tuning. D3 D0 G2 D3 B3 [D3 A0] D0 D0 D3. People buy the poor things for a few bucks when they are the size of a quarter and don't realize they are a messy lifetime commitment. My friend tells me of a pond turtle near boston that is 150 years old...

As I was doing that I was like "crap I should have done a new segment so when I mess up I won't have to do the whole thing over again!" As for the wah, gosh, I don't have any experience at all with them so I think I'll probably just nab whatever I can get for $80 used to start with and begin the exploration :) there are many things in line before that though...
