“Use your earballs.” Hahaha. Great lesson. I’ve been working on Smashing pumpkins with my brother, well we started. I’ve been doing those octave chords/sounds for quite a while. I grew up on that sound and it always stick with me. Those sounds also help fill out your guitar sound if you’re playing by yourself or the only guitar in the band. It’s why I used them, to get a bigger sound by myself. Anyways, thanks for this-I’m looking forward to learning this song now too.

i love every lesson of yours but im a beginner and sometimes i wish you do play the parts longer. sometimes i feel confused to follow each step. but its not a complaint, i truly learn so much from you and i highly appreciate you take your time to teach us.

totally get it Random Girls, thank you for your polite phrasing :) I'd suggest learning one part, and then playing that part with the song until you've got it down, then move on to the next part, and the next part. My swiftness is an effort to keep the videos not 20 minutes long, since I'm certainly speaking to people of all ability levels :)

Thank you Breno, I'm glad you liked that :) I tend not to parse solos that aren't the same every time a band plays it (like Pearl Jam's Daughter is for the most part)... if I recall correctly, this solo is in Em - so grab your Em pentatonic scale and make a whole bunch of noise!

Could you finish each song with a full play through? Or play a new version and that will give you thousands more views... That would be amazing, I live how you explain every chord, although I am still a beginner after 10 yrs of not playing and only learning basics and reading tab when I first started.
