i would bet my golf clubs that the euphoria morning tunes were written with some combination of Chris tossing up melodies and the piano player or Alain J suggesting chords underneath it until he was titillated. My evidence for this theory is the fact that none of his other songs are as complex and logical in a jazz sort of way outside of that album, in addition to the fact that he's a self proclaimed non guitar player :)

Almost 30 years I've been playing. The few songs of his I've tried are ridiculously difficult, yet sound so simple. Flutter Girl comes to mind first. The fact that he was self taught and had a fantastic timing thing that I still can't keep up with. I play his songs to show off for all 3 seconds.

Without knowing this is a Cornell Magic Potion song, I'd have to say this was some music major's final project for maximum chord voicings in 1 song. If you want to go to the other end of the Cornell spectrum for a softball could follow up with "Right Turn" - Alice Mudgarden, yet another example of song writing/singing genius.
