Only just started getting into Eleven this past year... great musicianship and songwriting, had no idea I'd been listening to there work via QOTSA and this album all these years!

There’s a reason Chris never played this song acoustically on tour & relied on singing overtop the original piano track & its because there’s so many chord changes/non traditional chords & it doesn’t translate well to an acoustic performance because of the key. Not to mention the vocal difficulty, but I really appreciate this breakdown Pete...

Hey Pete, I'm about to out myself as a huge dork (or an asshole) but I swear I'm actually just an enormous fan of both you and Chris. ❤️ I was going through this lesson again (which was extraordinarily comforting in the wake of his passing - thank you) and re-learning it. It's my favorite song of all-time. I wanted to get your take on a quick passing chord that can be added towards the end of the chorus, right before the G7 chord. On the line "one thing for you to keep in mind, you know..." I always felt there was a missing piece under the word "know." Immediately after the Dmin over C chord, and before the G7, I drop the bass one more semitone and mirror it on the B string. So the passing chord is (high string to low string): FBADBx (or 10202x in tabs). I play that chord right on the "know" and transition to the G7 on the downbeat of the next measure and then I follow the rest. Anyway I thought I'd share to see if you'd approve. Not trying to be presumptuous! I love your music, your channel, and your passion that you share with all of us. And I love Chris and Natasha. If you see this, thank you!
