I've never seen guitars being made. It's an interesting process. Is it true that the type of wood used to make an instrument affects its sound?
@sourcefindchina Жыл бұрын
yhh, type of wood will affects its sound
@koine20029 ай бұрын
Very much so. The top is the most important. The strings, through the bridge and saddle, vibrate the top which produces the sound. Sitka spruce, which is getting more expensive to get in quantity and quality needs for guitars, is historically the most common. I myself prefer cedar. The wood used for the back and sides will further impact the sound as they vibrate, too. The neck contributes, a bit, as well. The more solid wood (as opposed to laminated veneers), the more dimensions the sound has. The woods age and usage has an impact, too. As it ages (through use), the sound gets richer due to the wood “loosening” up to vibrate more. The bracing patterns and amount of scalloping is another major factor.

OSHA would shut down this factory in about 10 minutes if it was in the US. Watch a video of guitars being built in the US and compare to this video. Shows why some of the ones that are imported from China are so cheap.

Respekt for this hard workig people! And a big thank too. I have three in China produced guitars, and they all are great. I want to say: Outstanding. And this for a price that is less than a quarter of the same model produced in the USA. And the quality is sometimes better than the us produkts.

And the people who make them work longer, harder hours than you and I can imagine, AND, they are paid little more than slave-labour wages for doing so. Good for you for supporting such terrible working conditions and for pouring cash into the pockets of the repressive CCP.

Saw 2 major health and safety issues that would get this factory fined and maybe shut down in the US in just the first 90 seconds. Stacks of freshly glued guitar sides stacked with a fan blowing the sides (and volatile compounds off the drying glue) directly into the workers space and face; micro wood dust flying everywhere onto workers, potentially into their eyes and lungs (hello, emphysema). Thats apart from that wood dust being blown in the joins and body of every guitar, weakening the construction of what already are cheap laminates (the aforementioned sides flex like paper when moved - that should not happen with a quality laminate wood.

These are $69 guitars in the US and elsewhere. Too much random squeeze-out in some places, too little in others, no test fitting the neck, just hammering it in to fit and then compensating with the truss rod which is not the purpose and creates other issues....

Impressive, yet not the level of "care" needed during certain steps. A lot of particulate matter in the air. Can't be healthy. I'd buy one just to help these hard working laborers out.

@@SelwynRogers Japanese mass produced products were of poor quality before Edward Deming and continuous improvement. He completely changed the game for them. Also Japan has a culture of perfection. The Chinese on the other hand don't have the culture of perfection but a culture of good enough....kinda like the US has the saying good enough for government work. This is why you can't let chinese companies makes things on their own cause they will turn out low quality products. Foreign companies have their people directly in these chinese plants to ensure quality other wise if left on their own will turn out garbage.

I have a feel the women, who work there, do not know what they do. To make their 1000 pcs a day and go home.No control of each step, Rough job, compare it with Matin for example. Guitars are not a China tradition instrument. We sell China guitars from a very good factory wchich works for Koreans too, but We can see the always repetitious mistake made by just people who make guitars as their job only, no heart into. Chinese have one "adventage" , no respect to environment, no regulating compared with us in EU. It is much easier to make anything in there. But a Chinese doesn´t respect correct details on guitars We do.

At min 9:39 when the Truss Rod is engaged it would be better to use a rubber mallet or mallet with rubber ends to avoid all those bumps on the Truss Rod!! This is why many despise Chinese or Made in China production because certain jobs like in this case are carried out without any care or finesse or respect for the instrument...!! I know that China also produces good quality guitars but seeing this also makes me more wary, especially if you then open the guitar in two and find glue residue, smudges and perhaps a damaged Truss Rod; wood under the keyboard chipped and keys placed badly and not well rounded or smoothed! I prefer the Japanese manufacturing to the Chinese one if I really have to choose but precisely because I see a job done poorly as in this case and it cannot be justified just because perhaps the guitars produced here are at a good or low cost given that they still give work to many people.
