I remember a fender telecaster deluxe in Antigua that was a past GUITAR OF THE DAY. It was FUGLY in the coolest way. Kind of like a les paul silverburst. Kind of grown on me. And in baritone well... how about in a bass vi?

@T D it's one of those colors that when I first thought I think God that is just so ugly I can't stand it same as a silverburst in 1980 there was a brand new Les Paul Custom sitting next to the the left Paul I bought and it was a silverburst customer when I first found out that I found it element it was testing the St and now after 40 Years of aged and it's more of a a mocha and they're beautiful I really like them have a lot of personality and the fact that you don't see him everyday makes the more interesting same with the NT with Strat and tele for the Telecaster go back and look at the old guitar the day I think it was still with Mark agnesi was there and it was badass it was a great guitar I would have loved to own it a second

@Stratocus

@@Ottophil Yeah, but Lemmo ends each GOTD with "you can find these guitars on Reverb..." And seeing them listed on Reverb or their website also provides some idea of their value just in case the one that's featured has sold and one is looking to buy another. If a guitar that's featured gets sold what's wrong with noting how much it sold for?

This guitar is kind of an odd duck for a baritone. Most baritone guitars have a 27 inch scale length but this one is 30 inch like a short scale bass or a Bass VI. This is why the recommended tuning is A standard instead of B. In fact I think this is basically the same guitar as the Squire VI with different pickups and bridge. This guitar would be right at home with a set bass VI strings tuned low E standard.

These have 30" scales so the stock A-a makes sense. Most people in modern metal that use these take them to low F# and even lower to bass E and even lower than that to C# or B

So what exactly makes it a baritone , besides the tuning , I mean can you take any guitar and tune it to B or is there something else about it that makes it baritone ? are the pick ups different , the strings , is it a different scale length , ?? it sounds great , I always thought the Squier guitars were pretty cool , kinda like Epiphone for gibson , not sure about the Antigua , it's a bit ugly if you ask me but who really cares , luv the P90's , great sound and a very cool set today , thanks guys.

Has a 30” scale length you’d also normally use a heavier string gauge
@clbazar
@clbazar 3 жыл бұрын
A baritone has a scale length that is exactly 1/4 inch longer than your hands can comfortably play for more than 2 and a half songs. Or at least that was my experience. Killer sound, though. Also a hand killer, so that makes sense.

Most metal based youtubers are praising this guitar. They aren’t made anymore. And since the beginning of 2020 when the band loathe released their album and used this guitar the price skyrocketed on the secondhand market. I totally understand the hype. I also own one. Not the Antigua but the regular black one. This is an absolute beast of a guitar and I’m very much in love with it. That saying, because of the enormous price spike in the second hand market, I’ve put mine on sale also. But I only want to sell it if I get the max price for it. Otherwise its a big no 😂
