Hi Jon - That's actually a '60s P bass. Rosewood fingerboards and tortoiseshell pickguards are hallmarks of '60s P basses. Most '50s P basses with that shape and pickup configuration (as opposed to the earlier Telecaster-shaped P basses) sported maple fingerboards and gold anodized pickguards. A fine specimen nonetheless. All the best to you and the entire Elegee crew!
