You are showing knobs all for smooth shaft pots. What about knobs for split/splined shaft pots?

Great video. I was hoping to see you discuss knobs to fit different lengths of pots too. Most of the pots I have are the 16mm with 6mm dia knurled split shafts. These are much taller than your round shaft ones. Wondering which knobs have the right shaft depth to fit tall shafted pots.

I like to find old electronic test equipment with cool looking knobs on them. I frequently go to a scrap yard that gets a lot of weird looking equipment that I can salvage parts from. But that's just me I guess.

My favourite knob, in terms of aesthetics, is the Chicken-head. Something about them is just very "cool". I recently bought 4 knobs for a build only to find that they didn't have enough spacing between them on the enclosure, luckily I had another (store bought) pedal with the correct amount of knobs that I could re-purpose...and both pedals actually look better now!

I know this video is a bit old but, how do you get knobs to sit evenly on pot shafts? Sometimes when you let them go all the way down, they contact the neck that the shaft comes out of and they grind and dont turn freely so i end up having to lift the knob up above the floor level so to speak, which leads to mega wobbly turning. Any solutions as to how to get them to sit evenly? The best I could come up with is to stack some picks under the skirt of the knob on either side and tighten the grub screw. Also, any tips for precision clocking of the indicator markings? It's a tedious task getting them centered over the silkscreen markings sometimes....

the hex grubs are a 1.5mm you can buy sets of screwdrivers from integy (an rc site but there tools are half decent.. ive used them for much more...)
