Why does just adding the trimpot doesn't do the trick? The O Ohm R7 doesn't harm the gating, doesn't it?

Hang on.... on my pigtronix philosopher's stone, on the dc jack that they use and you recommend to use, why is the red/power wire hooked up to the ground and the black/negative wire hooked up to the power lead?

Hi. I have qhat might be an irrelevant question but I just don't understand what I'm looking at and I am curious. What is that In your background? It's not a screen and it's not a window. But it is moving and has some trees or plants swaying in the wind. Is it just me? What is that? Thanks.

I plug it in, and not even the led light comes on. So it's the power regulator?

Hi. Maybe you could answer this question from a new pedal builder. There are kits that include the PCB and components and then there are other alternatives where you just buy the PCB and source the components from elsewhere. These components might have the same value but they may be of some other make and/or material. How much will this alter the tone in let's say a standard Large Muff or will they be pretty much the same as long as the value of the components stay the same? Thank you!

This is a great video, but isn't there an easier way to test these days - rather than fiddling about? Has anyone used one of the modern component testers for this?

This modification effectively runs the amps in parallel, reducing the current output of each one by half. It’s going to make a difference if the amps need extra drive current capability. Otherwise, if you’re operating the amp well within it specifications, it shouldn’t make any difference. An application that might make sense is if you were driving headphones or using the opamp in the driver stage of a difficult to drive amplifier such as the TPA 3255. Those popular amplifiers are so difficult to drive that they tend to have a separate amp after the preamp stage just to create more voltage and current on the input side of the amplifier.

So great to hear you say that about values. I made my first 5 pedals because of your videos. I made a different extra feature every time and they sound great. I listened to your video and used the info to keep experimenting. Who wants to make another clone. So I am experimenting. Thanks for the video ❤

Thanks for the video! I actually just made my first board and used vero, and I had a ton of fun with it. I had never soldered anything before, and had no real issues other than it being a bit finnicky to solder the really small cramped bits. I clipped the ends off the components to use as connecting wire from solder point to point. I would say I'm happy I used vero and not a pre-fab pcb, because now I have the confidence that I can do it and I really did it "myself"... and tbh I think the janky-ness of the whole thing made it feel a lot more DIY and fun. It's also way easier to just go buy vero than it is to get pre-fab boards.

Hello haven't made any videos in 2 years? Still this is the channel i needed to find. Question have you or is it feasible to integrate many of these builds into one multi effects pedal. You know opening up the circuit to new diodes/components with software? Or is that just a nightmare to jump into?

Are 1/4 watt and 1/2 watt make a different in volume output, because i made a overdrive pedal with 1/4 watt and distortion pedal in 1/2, the overdrive pedal have more louder sound than distortion? , the portion of different is when i set volume knob overdrive in 10clock i need trun the volume knob distortion in like 10clock to have same volume,

Hi there! If you don't mind, do you have an opinion on something like the FLUKE F15B+? I'm pretty new to this, and the BK is hard to get in Canada and costs an arm and a leg. This one seems very similar and is currently on special haha. Than ks in advance!
