Reamping is crucial. Really allows to try different amps quickly and try different tones and IRs!

This is also a good demonstration of how much the bass guitar contributes to making the sound heavy.

This is really handy stuff to know for guitar players. It's the unsung hero that helps make that exciting gear sound awesome and the flexibility is unbeatable! Nice Vid!!

Can't you just skip the DI box and go right into your interface on a dry track (or with a plugin)? Then take that plugin off, and send the signal out of your interface to the Canvas, and then from there everything else like you said? Also, do you use balanced or unbalanced for any part of that signal path?

thanks! you seem to know a lot :) subscribed! i'm strugging with the following: when connecting my american vintage II strat directly into the hi-z input of my apollo, i'm peaking at -25db, which seems a bit low. Worried that this might not be the best volume to hit my amp sims with. What would you suggest? would a di box between my guitar and audio interface help? or maybe something else? curious to hear your recommendations!

Fantastic video, thanks! Which wah pedal do you use?

I would have loved to hear the dry signal. Do you amplify that signal with your audio interfaces' preamps and do you use a low cut or a compressor or anything?

Anyone have any experience doing critical listening of the Walrus Canvas Reamp vs. the Radial Reamp box? I want to preserve the best reamp signal I can and I'm trying to figure out if the Radial is worth the extra $100.

I use Nural DSP plug-ins. What’s the difference in using their virtual setup, switching between heads, cabs, adjusting mic positions and also recording a clean tone to always go back and change… than re amping?
@stiman1 Жыл бұрын
It's basically the same, except with doing everything in NDSP, you save a ton of money on outboard gear and a lot of time and hassle reamping. With digital solutions, you get to just change heads/settings/cabs/mics at will with no hassle.

Reamping is for hardware. If you're using plugins, you don't need one.
@obedmccalip9449 Жыл бұрын
Are there any benefits for the hardware route? Seems like all virtual makes more sense in many ways unless there’s something that hardware has that can’t be duplicated.
@derek_d Жыл бұрын
@@obedmccalip9449 software is just emulating the hardware. Some models are very close. Others aren't. Totally depends on your ears and wallet whether hardware is better.

Is it just me, or does the reamped signal lose a lot of low end?

I'll just be honest. What a ugly reamp box yuk😂. I'll just hide it lol.
