I sent for the Players Kit to use on a beautiful Loar 300 jazz guitar. The body of the guitar looked like a cat (i got it used) had used it to try out the effectiveness of its claws. After using the polish from the blue tube the scratches were gone. Seemingly there had been dozens of claw marks. Needless to say i was and am amazed. So if you are hesitant to try this product don't be, because it works!

hi Mike, you can use it on high gloss pickguards... athough the product is more designed for the body of the guitar with high gloss clearcoat where you will see the most benefit, some people do report success removing pick scratches from pickguards.

I have a 20 year old flat-top with some bare wood warn and a classical (French polish) that someone really punished with a pick putting pits along the grain under the soundhole. Both guitars have wear scratches, are top custom jobs with finest German spruce tops and rosewood. I bought a set of micro-mesh up to 12000. But am afraid of any lubricant, even olive oil. Then I saw your video, Whadya think? How do pits and scratches go away using your stuff. Meguiars polishes have long been used.

This stuff is absolutely amazing! Obviously a bit of elbow grease is needed* but it works a treat!! I had some nasty sandpaper damage on a client's black Tele - all looking like new now :) *not excessive!!!

Yes as long as it's not an unusual custom shop guitar or something non-domestic that mixes their own special lacquer. And as long as the finish is still in good shape. So yes on Martin, Gibson, all the big names that use lacquer - it works great... thanks!

I just bought a new Gibson Les Paul Standard Heritage Cherry. Day later I found micro-scratches on the top part of the guitar quite possible from the polishing cloth I bought!!! I was devastated. Hope your product kills those scratches :)

I learned with the stuff it does remove some scratches not all of them (im talking about smaller and medium scratches) i got it to remove scratches that stand out in the light which it does fairly good but you can still see them. It is a great polish though and would suggest it but dont expect miracles with it. Its a but over priced in my opinion also. $15 would have been nice for the smaller tubes.

As in changing the colour or annihilating the surface (e.g: having more scratches?) If I insisted on using your product, would it still get rid of the scratches. (As long as it would change the colour.)

Hi i have some Kef piano black high gloss speakers, the top of the cabinets have very light scratches which cannot be felt but can be seen, will this product work for them, thanks

Benn, it should work, we do have customers that use this product on black glossy speakers - just note we haven't tested it on every gloss surface out there so you would have to do a spot test yourself on the speakers to ensure compatibility. If the speakers are just like a high gloss guitar finish (common) then you should be A-OK.

Hi there, for a small knick (probably only a couple mm) in the clear coat finish...on the top of the guitar. Could I fill it with clear nail polish or super glue, then use your polish after it dries? Or the other way around? Or does the polish itself do the fill or blend it all back together? Thanks for any thoughts and your time!

I have a Gibson ES-137, high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer,is it safe? And would twice a year applications to large parts of the guitar be safe for it? I dont want to over do it, and with the gibson headstocks how they get real small fine scratches in them, will this fix the scrathes there too? Thanks

The technique i've been using is I apply a tiny bit to the cloth each time, just a bit not as much as they say you should and been reapplying again and again till the scratch was almost gone. Also rubbing quite hard / firmly. The scratches are only visible (the deep ones) still if you look VERY CAREFULLY under light you can see them, but if you look at it normally / under light brushing over no chance.

Hi, not sure exactly what you mean by even out the clear.... the polish works to smooth scratches to the point where they can't be seen. In a way, it evens out and smooths the damaged portion of the scratch as long as it's not too deep.

Can it remove the scratches from my Tele? (Jim Root Signature Model. I reckon it is Poly Satin White finish.) The scratches are black, quite obvious and somewhat deep. Apparently the scratches come out after I polished and cleaned the guitar.

How does this actually work ? You can't make the scratch go away, so what, does it fill the tiny linear holes they consist of ? Does it apply a thin layer of finish upon it that you can't even notice ? I'd like to buy that but it just seems too easy .; :/

InTheDesertRain hi there, the best way to visualize it is that it smooths the edges of the scratches until the scratch is no longer visible. It does not coat, cover, or hide the scratch therefore once done the scratch does not come back because its literally rubbed out. Keep in mind the product is mainly for lighter to medium scratches, not severe damage or deep scratches.

Sir, does this also work on acoustic guitars? i have a non-shine acoustic guitar, i bought it last thursday(may3), and today i accidentally scratched my guitar on the tip of the headstock and behind my guitar'd body. the issue on the headstock was it was whitened out, i could see the little pieces of wood inside it. while the other scratch wasn't that visible, but could your product help me? it really broke my heart cause i just got it. Edel, it doesn't remove dents but the scratches around it are gone so instantly the dent becomes much less noticeable as it blends into the rest of the nice glossy finish. Thanks

Had to update my comment, this stuff is nothing short of AMAZING. I've used it on my 2009 gibson hummingbird and because i'm an anal douchebag I discovered scratches on it after buying it used. I Was so peeved, i've been applying this stuff to each scratch and so far they have slowly vanished. You have to do MANY applications on 1 scratch though depending on how deep it is. I think 1 of scratches took me 15 applications of the blue tube? (semi deep scratch not massively deep)

This product works..there is no magic involved its basically like an auto scratch/swirl remover.The blue is a coarser more abrasive compound and the pink is a finer.It cuts through the clear coat/lacquer and evens out the imperfections.I ve used it on several guitars,on motorcycle plastics and on clear coated carbon parts too.Works just as an auto/moto polishing compound.I guess whatever difference from a 7$ Turtle Wax product is that it may designed more towards guitars and softer lacquers like nitro.

Being an idiot, I tried to remove some scratches with fine grit sandpaper.... You can guess how that went. I ordered a different polish before seeing this video, so if the one I ordered doesn't work I'm definitely going to try this one.

It's nice to have specific guitar products, but automotive cutting compound and finishing compound will do exactly the same job. Been using them for years on gibsons, fenders and epiphones. Plus........you have enough to do your car too! Sure, this stuff will do the job, but don't fall for the hype......

+Tony Campbell hi Tony, some car stuff works but many car products are not safe on some guitars, including some nitrocellulose finished guitars which means alot of USA built guitars. We still have customers contact us after using car products on their guitars that wrecked and scratched their delicate finish. I won't name those products here but I can. Also, our products are formulated NOT to wear down the finish like car compounds can do. Our product removes less of the finish and the finish on a car is usually thicker than that of a guitar therefore we feel our product is safer.

Suggesting that you can use automotive cutting compound on all guitar finishes is flat out wrong. That's irresponsible advice that will definitely harm certain guitars. The product in this video isn't a bunch of hype. I've been using it for about 4 years on expensive custom shop guitars with nitro lacquer finishes and very valuable vintage guitars that I'd never use car products on and this stuff is excellent. Truly remarkable. And it lasts. I came back to this video after 4 years to remind myself of the website so I can order more.
