What is it about those brass barrel saddles over the steel ones .

To me steel sounds a little brighter in the inital attack of the note when picked. I want to say that brass seems a little more mellow and smooths out the attack. Best to try both ane choose which sounds best to you. Heck I may even make a comparison video on this one day.

They are not the same. Each one follows the radius of the neck.
