So good 💜 glad you’ve got our wonderful Prince back on the channel! I would guess that the harmonica player would be the amazing Frederic Yonnet. He started working and touring with Prince around 2006 and the last time I saw him perform with Prince was about 2011. They had some great harmonica/guitar battles on stage.

I always thought this was a great DB song. I kept waiting on a solo, but still a very cool cover. Great of you to point out his rhythm work. He is one of the best guitarists we’ve had. People usually equate “great” to lead guitar. He is also one of the best when you consider lead and rhythm. Princes filmed everything. Lately it seems like short clips or audio only releases. You know there are countless hours of video recordings that are guitar centered that could be released. Hopefully the powers that be will see the benefit in making that happen.

The Doobie Brothers have a handful of truly classic songs and a great band. II have not gone any further than the hits.

Freddy Yonnet on harmonica. I wonder whether they added the song for Liv Warfield as it is a little rockier and that was her wheelhouse at the time, or because Freddy would need long harmonica work... And this was in the hotel roof I think at some crazy early hour, like 3am.

Thank you, that was an amazing performance, I have never said about any harmonica player.
