For Horizons (for clone hero) the parts this guy is messing up on, you have to have both hands by the 5 guitar controller buttons. Not one on the buttons and one on the lever-thing

Wii guitars without wiimotes require an adapter to make work like any other wired controller. I believe they're generally called Classic controller adapters but you can find videos about Wii guitars here on KZbin for more solid info.

I don't play clone hero enough to justify dropping ~25$ on it but if you really enjoy the game and have trouble with lag it could be worth it. Or maybe good for a birthday present
