In case anybody is wondering how to get the guitar sound at the start, Gilmour is using a metal screwdriver or pliers to slide over each fret played.
@bhjkldfgh5665 Жыл бұрын
Just use a slide
@thepandorica1 Жыл бұрын
@@bhjkldfgh5665 you could but something with a handle is much easier to use as you can move it like it is a bow on the string. Also I've found that a slide doesn't sound as good probably because it is hollow
@die-Bienen-des-Dunkelheit Жыл бұрын
@@thepandorica1David is using a tonebar, which is just a solid guitar slide, which you can hold and bow your strings with. He's clearly not using pliers or a screwdriver to play the parts in the beginning.

Amazing! Perfection is a dimension that contemplates two realities: infinity and simplicity. And Pink Floyd is actually infinite and simple... What a song!!! Wow!

I know that a lot of you are waiting for Pt. 2. But here’s my problem: I don‘t make the trascriptions by myself (as I‘ve already said in a comment). I order a transcription via fiverr and the I make the video. But because I‘m just a Student, I don‘t have the money for it at the moment. I dicided to make a Moneypool (PayPal) to collect the money. So feel free to fund it. It‘s not for me it‘s just for getting a really professional transcription. Here‘s the Link: paypal.me/pools/c/8yZVohklfB

Part two should be mostly discernable from this tab..although i get and completely understand thats its nice to have a proper transcription to work from for each piece.. I myself play most of the instruments that are tracked here so I'd also dig Richard Wights performance notes in guitar tab and standard notation too!!
@benmahr3 жыл бұрын
@@dyangordon6151 I could upload the complete Piano/Organ of Pt. 1 if you want. And I don‘t want to make Pt 2 until I have a detailed transcription. There are already some semi good tabs of Pt. 2 on Ultimate Guitar, so I‘ll wait till I have the detailed tab to upload the video.
@dyangordon61513 жыл бұрын
@@benmahr that would be really cool but I know that would be some feat..I think wrights playing underneath the guitars are great...I intend to contribute to your pay pal for the other transaction as this is such a masterpiece and its important to understand its component parts.
@benmahr3 жыл бұрын
@@dyangordon6151 would be very cool. I will upload the Piano Score of Pt. 1 in the next days. I always wanted to do so, but there hasn‘t really been an interest until now. But I can say that the Piano Part is still incredibly accurate but not as good as the bass and guitar transcription. I just think that a professional transcription is it worth. (sry for the bad english, I‘m from Germany, but I think you know what I mean)
@benmahr3 жыл бұрын
Ok, a quick update to the piano score video: I‘m very busy at the moment. After the release of the Pt. 2 Guitar and Bass video i will make the piano score video. I‘m so sorry, that i have forgotten that.

Overhead the albatross Hangs motionless upon the air And deep beneath the rolling waves In labyrinths of coral caves The echo of a distant time Comes willowing across the sand And everything is green and submarine And no one showed us to the land And no one knows the where's or why's But something stirs and something tries And starts to climb toward the light Strangers passing in the street By chance, two separate glances meet And I am you and what I see is me And do I take you by the hand And lead you through the land And help me understand the best I can? And no one calls us to move on And no one forces down our eyes No one speaks and no one tries No one flies around the sun Cloudless everyday You fall upon my waking eyes Inviting and inciting me to rise And through the window in the wall Come streaming in on sunlight wings A million bright ambassadors of morning And no one sings me lullabies And no one makes me close my eyes So I throw the windows wide And call to you across the sky

" I am you and what I see is me".. A profound and insightful statement on the spontaneous nature of authentic ethical encounters, being-in-the-world when such moments arise, and the proper standpoint toward our relationship to the Other.
@mattgilbert7347 Жыл бұрын
It's basically the same as the central idea found in the work of philosopher Martin Buber and, to a lesser extent, Sartre, Heidegger, and ofc the grandad of this kind of theory of ethics, Hegel (aka "Hey Girl")
