Thank you very much, this is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs and Roger Waters' finest moment as a bass player, in my opinion
@speccolo3 жыл бұрын
Roger Waters unique bass phrasing is absolutely the sign of this wonderful piece, and honestly it was just what I missed the most in David Gilmour performance, where the funky Guy Pratt style didn't match at all.with the original vibe...

I know that a lot of you are waiting for Pt. 2. But here’s my problem: I don‘t make the trascriptions by myself (as I‘ve already said in a comment). I order a transcription via fiverr and the I make the video. But because I‘m just a Student, I don‘t have the money for it at the moment. I dicided to make a Moneypool (PayPal) to collect the money. So feel free to fund it. It‘s not for me it‘s just for getting a really professional transcription. Here‘s the Link: paypal.me/pools/c/8yZVohklfB

Unfortunately I play the bass for just a year, so I couldn’t give you advice, but for me the melody is harder to remember than the rythm, cause I played the Drums for 10 years. I think for someone not coming from drums, rhythm exercises would be a great training.
@Anonymous-o6t6p3 жыл бұрын
Personally I learn the chords in my head and get the basics then I go through again and see which parts Rodger waters adds extra licks and bits, also not the best advice but I’ll still say it if you learning to play this live your the bassist so your not gonna be heard much if you at least know the basics of the different sections then you can just jam and not many people will notice especially in a Pink Floyd song, just stay in key and in time

Update Pt. 2: Ok guys (and girls), I‘m now working on part 2. It coasts me 240$ so it would be very cool if you could contribute a little bit, because although I don‘t make the transcription, I have to invest a lot of time into the transcription, so it would be a sign of appreciation if you would pay a little bit. Here‘s the like: paypal.me/pools/c/8yZVohklfB More 1972 Pompeii Stuff will come if half of the coasts are refunded.
