Brandi and The Twins have been playing and writing together since 1999 and, with Josh, form the band's core. Haven't even listened yet, but you had me at "Brandi Carlile singing Elton John". Thumbs up, now relax and bliss out. So, now that I've listened, yes, it's frigging brilliant. But mad propz must go to the O.G. string arranger, Paul Buckmaster, who arranged the strings for Elton John's "Madman Across The Water" album (which is the first album I ever bought - I had good taste). Brandi and team deliver a faithful, and passionate reading very close to the original. But it's like playing Sgt Pepper (or Beethoven) - it's okay to play the original and just put your own seasoning on it, rather than try to do something completely different. Thank you so much for sharing and for adding your appreciation and passion to viewing it.
