I'm off to watch these 7 in whatever most recent performances I can find. These are some of the greats still here .

Definitely would add Allison Russell to this list. An amazing singer and multi-instrumentalist, with incredible energy.

Madison Cunningham, but I don’t know who in this list of 5 she’d replace. One song…Eva Cassidy’s “Over the Rainbow.”🙏🏼❤️

I've watched this reaction often. One of my favorite reaction videos to watch. I've been one of the biggest Van Halen fans on the planet for a long time. I was actually fortunate enough to have briefly met the band in 1998 during the VH3 tour with Gary Cherone on Vocals. I know most fans don't really talk much about that record. I was such a fan that I wore it out listening to it when it came out. Looking back, I recognize that it's not a great record. But one song that did stand out live was a Year To The Day. There is a really good video of that from a concert in Australia. I'm assuming you have already watched it. But if by some chance you have not, here's the youtube link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3OqgqChjciVeqssi=PLtv8pFAxM88_tXi

Hey Michael. I love your reviews and observations. You obviously have a deep love of music and all the back stories. Very cool and fun. Also, as an Australian, I can't thank you enough for NOT starting your videos with "WHAT'S AAAARRRRP"

Check out Patty.Gtiffin or and Dar Williams, and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are the best touring band right now. Patty's Little Desk Concert from 2013 is outstanding.

I went to Jacob's concert in San Francisco last night. What an amazing experience to be part of one of his "audience choirs". He doesn't just guide you to the pitches. He also guides you to shape the vowels. We started on an "oooo", but at various points he had us shift to "ah" and "eee" and so on. I know he's done this a lot so he's figured out what works well for directing people, but even for a non-singer like me it was obvious what he wanted. Honestly makes me want to be better at singing.

Thinking Sierra Ferrell should be top 10. Still relatively an unknown but she's been selling out large venues across the country this last year. Seeing her live is one of the best shows around.

Can’t argue with any of those but I’d add Diana Krall and, if they don’t have to be living, #1 is the late, great Aretha.

Norah is great... but her back up singers are pretty mid!

To me Patty Griffin is the best ever . Most underrated singer of all time. Unfortunately now in her early sixties she's losing her voice. Patty Griffin in her thirties there was no one better

Lillie Mae Rische is an on par singer songwriter/ musician who hasn’t gotten the exposure she deserves. Susan Tedeschi‘s version of Angel from Montgomery is one of my favorites kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJbLeIedia1lf68si=vul847cWF3yvB7yR

I got to see Susan Tedeschi open for John Lee Hooker. At the time she was backed by Double Trouble. It must have been nearly 20 years ago, and I still get goosebumps when I remember it. Great talent.

Seen Bonnie Raitt about three times now, always fantastic! However, I think my pick to see tomorrow would be Brandi Carlisle. She'd have to pick the song, though -I couldn't.

Couldn't agree with you more about "Prince is probably the 'baddest thing that's walked the planet' - especially as a guitarist. He was an absolute genius.
No doubt your list is exceptional, but I have 3 Aussie names for you. Delta Goodrem, Missy Higgins, Vanessa Amorosi. Trust me, they will blow you away. We've got plenty more, but they are my 3 picks. I saw Savage Garden in 2001, with Vanessa as support. WOW! I would have been happy if the whole concert was her. Enjoy
