These videos are a lot of work? You guys make it look easy. Kudos!

Haha! Good to hear that. Yes, it takes me hours to prepare a video (scripting and gathering all we need), then around an hour to shoot an episode. And finally I need a few more hours to edit it. Our goal is to make these videos short (but not shallow) and mostly easy to understand. //cheers John, Kris

Thanks for the wonderful tips and for being you! Happy Holidays to you, your family, and the fine people at Thomann! (Hoping Santa brings Guil a Tele, his Strat obsession is disturbing ...🤣)

7:14 I'd assume that (s)he frets the string from the middle or the back of the fret. So that the finger isn't right behind the fret but so far away that it nearly touches the lower fret. I assume that especially because (s)he mentioned that (s)he is still a beginner. It's a really common beginner mistake though it can be solved quite easily.
@ThomannsGuitarsBasses4 жыл бұрын
Hey, yes that can be the explanation, if pretty much all frets buzz. If it's really only one though, it might actually be the "guitar's fault". :) THat's why I told it's nearly impossible to tell what's up without having his/her guitar in my hands. //cheers, Kris

Hey Chris, have you rolled fretboard edges? What's your method if you have done it?

I seem to have TWO Tone King Ironman II minis on the way (wet/dry). I'm wondering if it's possible to use them in parallel to represent a 4-Ohm load capable of handling 60 Watts, as each is 8-Ohm and 30Watts?

Hi, I got a natural finish bass a couple of years ago from you guys. From sweat and finger oils I guess some areas where my hand rests a lot on the body, these kinda looks like it has a gloss finish now. Not sure if that's cool as it adds charakter and tells a story or if that's not good. Your opinion on that? Is oiling it up completely now an option, or is there a way to prevent that from happening in the first place, without changing the natural look?

I disagree with your locking tuners on an Evertune. I had an Evertune installed on my Ibanez which already had Graphtech ratio locking tuners on it, and I rather love the combination. That might be due to the extra sensitivity ratios give you I donno
@BogoBob4 жыл бұрын
Yep, every guitar should have locking tuners even with a locking nut or evertune. It just makes string changes so much easier and neater. Also graphtech ratio if you can afford them add even more to it with the consistent tuning. I love mine, only downside is i can't afford 10 sets.

Hey, I gave this a thumbsdown and the reason is probably not you but KZbin's algorithm. I was looking for pointers on how to play a B major chord and this video popped up at the top. Obviously not helpful for me but seems ok :)
