If you repeated those 3 words along with "boost" over and over, I think you'd eventually cause everyone in the room to vomit. We are either all on the same acid or...Josh did pronounce "Pinkerton" as..."Green"...??? I mean he couldn't have, could he..."Green" is an okay pop record and "Pinkerton" is quite literally high art...Like in the same camp as any painting by a master, or poem by Emily Dickinson...Wait...It might just be the "brown" acid making me think he said green...Cause in the real world Weezer records are rated as 1. Pinkterton (BTW Josh, If you maybe one day want to do an episode on Weezer guitar tones that would be quite cool. From the modded Mesa on Blue, to the EPIC muffs on Pinkerton, to the JCM900 on green...then I get lost.) 2. Blue 3. Maladroit 4. EWBAITE \m/ //W\\

Weezer released music after the Blue album? Sounds like BS but okay.

I'm not a pedal freak, but I really enjoy your videos. I have 6 pedals on my board that do what I need to do. Yeah, I know there are 50 shades of any pedal and 50 more pedals that do something a little different, and blah, blah, blah... but the way you present all of it, to me, is sane and entertaining. Keep it up!

I foresee a Part 2 to this video. “Warm” is a term that grates my skin often. The analog is “warm.” This pedal really “warms” up the tone. This overdrive will add some depth and warmth to your tone.

Couldn't agree with you more! Somehow people say that PAFs sound warm, but also rosewood fingerboard Fenders are warmer than maple fingerboard variants. To my ears, the maple Fenders have always sounded closer to the PAFs. Am I crazy?
@jonroberts9864 жыл бұрын
I’ve always taken warm to mean ‘muddy’. If not that then at least to mean ‘bassy’.

@@bipbipletucha I think in the case of freatboards has a lot to do with the color of the wood. Like with food, you experience it first with the eyes

Hi! I like this guy! I'll also chuck a token in the hat for hearing some explanation of terms like warm, hollow, dark etc.. a lot of the terms used sound weird, but as far as I know, we only have words to describe things, so we're just doing our best..

"Woody, rounded, organic, chewy, wooly, flinty..." describing tone is the worst haha
@countblue4 жыл бұрын
Wait, that reminds me. Miles Davis was once talking about that "round" tone he was trying to achieve when he was once practicing, on the banks of a lake. He also made a visual reference with both hands forming a round symbol. I think its in the video "Miles in Paris". I can accept that coming from Miles in the description of a trumpet tone. ;-)

TIMMY!!! I haven't been able to take it off my board sine I bougt it. I'm a Tim so I bought it out of humor. I wanted to buy the TIM but it was too pricey at the time for me so I bought a Timmy. I just can't replace it. I've tried so many different pedals and it just stays. Long live the TIMMY!!!!!!

Tim here too. Family still calls me TIMMY! Had no idea there was a TIMMY pedal. Actually sounds pretty sweet. I must have it!!!
