He really captures the essence of Hendrix. The double stops, trills, note bends, using the whole of the instrument for percussive effect, the pentatonic embellishments and using dynamic dissonance to simulate electrified feedback. Now I have to find the original composer. Bravo!

Pavel Steidl is by far the most "electrifying" performer on classical guitar I have seen

That was awesome. Hendrix would be the first one jumping up and leading the standing ovation. Wish he was here to do it.

very nice take of Hendrix! I'm sure he would of been happy to hear this.Everyone that plays guitar today owes something to the man.

Ok about the player's virtuosity, but what about Domeniconi, who wrote this incredible piece?

Pavel Steidl plays a 'Hommage à Jimi Hendrix'. This means he bows before Hendrix. I'm sure Hendrix would have bowed back. Both guys were/are incredible.

I don't think this means he is bowing before Hendrix, I'm sure he appreciates Hendrix though, the piece he is playing was written by Domeniconi, a well established composer.

Attacking conservatory snobbery aimed at popular music, one performance at a time.
