I have made a few bottleneck slides using the traditional method of wrapping some twine around the neck, pouring kerosene on the twine,then lighting the twine on fire and, after a few seconds,dipping the bottle in ice water. It worked about 60% of the time. Nowadays I hacksaw off a 2” piece of schedule 40 PVC, sand the ends, and start wailing.

I'm so hooked on your videos! I just watched someone else and it's like night and day! So my thanks is get a bowl of ice water. Take a bottle you can slide your finger in and wrap some twine around the neck at a length you like and tie it off. Pout some Rubbing alcohol on the string wipe off excess. Set string on fire turn bottle let string burn evenly drop in ice water. Bottle separates at string! Sand for safety when cool. Have a great day!

I've never found glass slide I like, had plenty, dropped every single one of em and shattered em all, I eventually turned a piece of aluminum bronze on the lathe over 15 years ago, I've never used anything else since that day. Love ya work Michael 👍👍🇦🇺

Love the videos! Try turning the broken one around so the curve is in the bend in your finger(after you smooth it out of course). I am having good luck with a hard plastic pipe from a hot tub with a curve cut in it so when I bend my finger there's nothing in the bend.
