The only nitpick I have is that it would be nice if you could use delay and reverb at the same time, rather than one or the other.

I think it’s possible to go that using the program/preset button on the left but I’m not 100 percent sure

if you want, you can build a simple reverb using pt2399 IC. Its a really simple reverb you can find videos on youtube how to do it or you can search for schematich on google :)

I prefer building my own pedals becouse they are so expensive. I built a trebe booster pedal for like 5€. on the market a treble booster is 261€

Way better than the Line 6 spyder 3. The volume and gain control are pretty realistic on this amp and the Marshall and Vox AC30 sound very alike to the actual amps. Love this thing, until I can get a Vox AC302.

Just got this amp! A lot of bang for cheap money in a small package. Waiting on the 4 button foot switch. Some really cool sounding effects and channels.

The only complain I have is not seeing a separate reverb control knob on the panel, in "real life" that's not practical at all and also the lack of an effect loop is not good indeed... but... except that, Vox tones sound nice and quite useful, as usual. I owned an old Valvetronix AD50VT Combo for several years and the overall tone quality (also thanks to a dedicated Celestion speaker) was pretty nice. The Cambridge 50, with its Nutube technology, seems to be even better (and much lighter weight, because of full open back and no heavy steel front grille), a nice evolution of the species. 😉

Ohh No stumbled into this Cambridge 50 video….so now confused after looking at the Vox VT40X. Which is better now? Newer? Most features? Which should I lean toward…

OK nice ! 👍 Amp on my list. Now, I'd like to go further, is there somewhere any "voice demo no playing" ? 😁

cambridge 50 vs vox vt20x for the effects?
@vincentl.94693 жыл бұрын
the effects sound very good...could have done with a Blackface or Tweed voicing...some of the amp models -particularly Marshall sound the same. good overdrive ...I wonder if Nano tubes catch on more widely...

Sounds really good, i wonder does it take drive pedals well. And if the line setting would be good to take some modeler, im looking for a affordable active guitar speaker solution for my Strymon Iridium.

I use a Vox Adio and it sounds great running through the flat setting with amp modeling (Vox MV50 w.Nutube via line out) into cab sim pedal( Digitech CabDryVR) and then into the Vox Adio. I would bet this sounds just as good if not better.

I've not tried this particular amp but I do have a smaller Vox modelling amp and my Vertex Ultraphonix and Zendrive sound great in front of it(can you guess I like Dumble type sounds?!) and in fact I prefer it to my little Fender valve Champ. I agree this Cambridge does sound good but I would miss a dedicated mids control and I should like to see a compressor added to the effects. Other than that, very tasty.

The sticking point for me is the lack of a midrange control on the tonestack to access in a tactile manner rather than having to go meddling around with software just to do so. Otherwise, it is a decent sounding combo that'd be great for home use. I know that they are able to take a good boost/lower-gain overdrive well just to send an already driven preamp sound into a much more alive sounding and feeling affair with touch-sensitive and are able to provide more gain than anyone can make practical use from, in-fact a good boost/lower gain OD allows for backing off of the preamp gain, the on-board noise gating is gash/horrible but that's no issue along with the speaker simulated signal also being crummy, far better treated as a typical amplifier more than a digital modelling one with the valve reactor section (which does make a difference in a good way IMextremelyHumbleHO/experience) of as I have a number of Vox hybrid amplifiers which started with and still includes an example of their first Valvetronix model. I've heavily used and continue to do so at times my trusty older nowadays VOX AD100VTH along with a JCM2000 DSL50H, Peavey 5150 Mk II, Mesa Rect-0-Verb amongst a number of others also and it genuinely records great combined with any one of them. So for example, if I'm using the JCM2000 DSL then I'll mostly use the Brit 2000 model (on this it'd be either the 800 or VM) then blend the two via the level of each with each amp feeding its own dedicated cabinet with a trio of microphones thrown upon each, spend some time eliminating the unwanted phase issues then track away, switch an amp head out and simply dial in an appropriate amp model and rebalance the relative levels. Admittedly I've not been using my selection of very nice through to very good but can be had for almost peanuts oftentimes amplifier heads, combo and cabinets as much as I once did after I finally took a plunge into the world of the Fractal's stunning and massively versatile AXE-FX, which whilst they are pricey, they are worth the money if you can it available or save up which is what I had to do. It really depends on the task and the results needed and wanted. All the best and cheers for the solid demo Guitar Bonedo dude Dean
