Re. Measuring rough like a carpenter. The wiggle room in the hook of the tape measure is deliberate and allows for the thickness of the hook and wether you are pulling on it or pushing into it!

Why not move the bridge and let the fretboard rest where it should?
@sneazlwatchs25463 жыл бұрын
I always thought it was because if u did that you would have just a rlly odd looking trem because people are used to it where it lays and it would look odd also the cut out in the pickguard or in the body

Exactly. Lots of room for screw ups especially when you are teaching.

Why do you adjust the position of the fretboard and not the bridge since both seem not to be mounted? Thanks

I want to take the head and fret board of a guitar a make a short guitar out of it how close to the last fret should I mount a bridge?

The distance from nut to 12th fret needs to equal distance from 12th fret to bridge for proper intonation.

if I want a longer scale.. Can i adjust the bridge to 27" scale?.. instead of 25.5"?..thank You

If you have a different fretboard/neck, then sure.
@jamesmerritt55623 жыл бұрын
Doing that would also require that you change the distance from the nut to every fret, as well.

Too tight measured., no room for setting, since the screw is turned in the top end, when measuring. Always use middle setting in hadware when measuring.

Yeah why were is that much front? Could have staggered it a couple of turns back.

Good advice, unless you can tell your going to need max adjustment one way or another to get the proper distance(and leaving some wiggle room for intonation), then set it in the middle.
