I have been a Brandi Carlile fan since she was opening for the Indigo Girls back in 2008. I've seen her live on every tour. I'm seeing her at The Gorge this weekend. Guitar & Bass are covered by the twins, Phil and Tim Hanseroth. The drummer is Chris Powell.

The solo section breakdown. As someone who's currently working through the first two levels on Guitargate, I would've only been moderately impressed by this song. After Michael's breakdown though, when the solo played all the way through, I got sooo pumped up watching/listening to the band's cohesion. I got that live performance energy, wishing I was there to see this set in-person. THANKS MICHAEL FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS 🙏🙏🙏

I saw Brandi live last year in Salt Lake before the pandemic broke out. Awesome show, My last live one. Been a long time fan. She's had the same band for as long as I have been listening to her. The bass and guitarist are brothers, twins I believe. Phil and Tim Hanseroth, respectively. They do three part harmonies with Brandi like nobodies business. Tanya Tucker opened the show, who was also fantastic.

Hey Michael! A lot of people were first introduced to Brandi Carlile by way of Anthony Bourdain! “The Story” was the theme song for his show, “No Reservations”! The lead guitarist is Tim Hanseroth, the bass guitarist is his twin brother, Phil Hanseroth, and their long-time cellist is Josh Neuman. Brandi and The Twins have been playing and writing together since 1999 and, with Josh, form the band's core. Phil is also a fine lead guitarist; their recent live shows feature a "twintro," Phil and Tim playing an introductory dual lead overture to kick off the concerts.

The stories I’ve read about Elton in Mix Magazine told by his producer, who tragically died with his wife in a car accident, are flabbergasting. If you can ever read that article, do it! Aw, Brandi was the last show I saw before the lockdowns started, almost a year ago, now. Her stage setup usually doesn't involve a drummer or keyboard player; it's just her and the Hanseroth twins, who handle all the percussion on their stomp boxes. Somehow, that's more than enough to fill a 5,000-seat musical theater. Show was amazing, and I can't wait to get back out there.

Pretty weird, almost unbelievable that he doesn't know the tune. Yea, early Elton but from one of the biggest most classic records of all time. And by the way, title track.....if your an Elton head like me you would be raving how great the gravel in her voice is, how she respects the songs bones and doesnt stray too far from the core. She honors it like I would try to sing a song that changed my life.
