Part of what is so captivating about synthwave is that makes you feel nostalgic about something that never really existed.

Synthwave closed the bridge of music to play at parties with my non-metalhead friends XD we all developed a deep obsession with it between now

After seeing and hearing the music video for the first time I immediately showed it to my roommate and we booked a trip to Paris just to watch them perform live. We were so few people in the club, but it was fucking amazing! Hearing their maniac cover was mesmerizing! And all of this was just 6 weeks after the turbokiller video was released :) And who else was there? Fucking Perturbator! What an amazing night that was :D Hadi kolay gele

When I first heard this song I absolutely loved it but you never know how much staying power a song will have in your head (like some songs you get kind of sick of after a few dozen plays even if you loved them).. but Turbo Killer has consistently been in my "Most Played" playlist on Spotify for several years now, and has a spot in all my regular rotation of playlists I make every few months. It's my favorite song of all time by a long shot and I hope to god that one day a song can dethrone it.

Seth Ickermann, the duo that directed this video, are just amazing. I haven't seen someone use practical special effects this well since James Cameron and John Carpenter. :) Their Film "Blood Machines" is just as visually breathtaking. And also features a Soundtrack by Carpenter Brut. ^^

One of my favorite "react" videos to probably my favorite music video ever (I find most videos detract from the experience & have felt that way for 40+ years. Not this one tho, not for a moment!) Right there with him from 2:45 or so on, having been around when thrash metal was a VITAL art form and hating 80's "new wave" synth. The guy's facial expressions brought me back to first hearing CB. And rethinking what was possible.

I love the music and music videos. My eyes opened up to it after playing Hotline Miami 2. The Driver movie and Stranger Things just sendt me into an 80`s vibe rabbithole. I was born in 87 so I have no nostalgia from this sound really, but there is something about these synths man. I grew up with it maaaaaaaybe like a fragment from my mom and dad, but this take is just so fresh.

Check out Dance With The Dead aswell as Starcadian, you won’t be dissatisfied. Especially Dance with The Dead, there’s some real heavy metal guitars in there.

DWTD are amazing. I didn't like the Robeast album at first, but after listening to it more, it's become my favorite behind Near Dark.

Oh hell yes. Welcome to retro wave! I saw them live a few years ago in San Francisco. Wild! "Paradise Warfare" is one of my other favourites of theirs. I also recommend Gunship. Guship is probably my favourite synthwave/retro wave band. My #1 of theirs is "Art3mis and Parzival". Before Carpenter Brut, I had never been in a mosh pit. That was my first and last time. My hair was super long and I fell and my guy friend picked me up off the floor so fast lol.
