The vibe they put into that song, especially playing live, damn!

damn, i just watched a live performance and Mark does a pretty good job covering Guthrie's part, i would love to experience this song live, but i doubt we'll ever have the chance to :D maybe in 2022 when it'll be 10 years since the release they might do more songs from P2 🤘🤘

Have a Blast was the first Periphery that really caught me, the intro and all it's chaos, but then that mellow yet still heavy and kinda groovy part after the ambient guitar part was what really hit me and I became a fan of them since
@alekoshred3 жыл бұрын
yep, that ambient part is something else, amazing stuff \m/

Periphery II is their best album IMO. Ragnarok Erised (John Petrucci solo) BTW since appart from Clear, Alpha is the only album you haven't reacted to I recomend 22 faces. It's a banger

This really made me remember how I first got to know about Periphery. Never heard about them and somehow got this song recommended via Spotify. Guess I've been slipping way too much into P3 and Hail Stan since then, because I just relived the whole experience with all of your reactions at the same time. Have a good one and talk to you on a later vid, I gotta listen to P2 again. But as a quick edit I have to say that as much as I love "Have A Blast", "Sentient Glow" from P4 really hit me the same way. Especially when you watch Mark Holcombs guitar playthrough and really see what the hell he is doing there the whole time. Even more breathtaking than Keanu Reeves.

I heavily suggest trying out some Ne Obliviscaris, they're a progressive/melodic death metal band with A GOD DAMN VIOLIN, their songs are so pleasing to hear. I think that "And pleague Flowers the kaleidoscope" or "forget not" is a good place to start. There's also a music University in Austraila that has one of their songs as part of their course if I recall correctly, which is pretty cool.
