AC/DC just dropped their first teaser of their upcoming song Shot In The Dark - so I just had to grab the guitar and give it a go!
So far we’ve only had a 30 second clip but it’s got a couple of riffs in there which I’ve given a go. These are just my interpretation of how these are played so don’t take it as being 100% accurate!
I'm super stoked to hear some new ACDC music, and their new album seems to be called Power Up - I’m looking forward to that one.
It’s also great to see Brian John & Phil Rudd back in the band with Cliff Williams back on bass!

I downloaded a few AC⚡️DC tunes from "Backtracks" (off of iTunes), like "Snake Eye", "Borrowed Time" and "Down On the Borderline". Such badass tunes, and I can't help but wonder if they ended up being the "rejects" from the "Blow Up Your Video" album recordings. They have that same vibe to them; I'm no music expert so I can't explain it, but they sure sound like they could be on that album. For example, "Snake Eye" seems to have the same feel as "Two's Up". Maybe I'm a little bit off saying that, but in any sense, they are all badass tunes! Pure AC⚡️DC all the way!!!⚡️😈⚡️

I have the same SG! This is a great Video, what gear do you use for this sound? I'm using a Gibson SG Standart Ebony with an Orange Crush RT-35 Amp. But i can't get this typical AC/DC sound🤷‍♂️ It would be great if you could reply🙋‍♂️

I think angus bars the 5 fret in the High E and B strings instead of the A power Chord on the 7th Fret D string. It sounds like the because Steve the rythem play a full A power chord behind it masking the high notes

Stock pickups 490T & 490R, no pedals for this video just straight into my computer into GarageBand & I used a GarageBand preset called old school punk for the tone!

(Please understand the difference between musical sound and tonal sound. I am speaking tonally.) I've said this a lot, and I'll continue saying it until it changes: Every AC⚡DC record used to sound different up to and including Stiff Upper Lip. Even when using the same producer for multiple albums. The problem that I have with every record from Stiff Upper Lip until now, is that they all sound the same. Over polished Too squeaky Too clean Not rough around the edges No grit No grime No edge No bite No rawness Musically, every song from every record has always been exactly what you would expect: Perfection. Sonically, everything they've done in the past 20 years is indistinguishable. They've been using the same studio room with the same tube powered mixing desk in the same building. The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canadia. (Type-o intentional.) This problem has been magnified by the repeated employment of one Brendan O'Brien as producer. Please don't misunderstand me, I like his work. He does a fantastic job. The problem is that he's been making the same DC record since 2008's Black Ice. I would not be surprised at all to discover that they secretly recorded Black Ice, Rock Or Bust, and PWR⚡UP all at the same time with no breaks in between. Sonically and tonally speaking, they all sound identical and indistinguishable from one another whereas, by contrast, every other DC record has its own unique sound to it. Bring back that unpolished raw edgy sound that these guys built their careers on. Anyways, that's my answer to your question of what I think about the new music. Great video
