It's seems so simple and so basic because the song was written on the fly in the studio after they laid the album and written in only 30 minutes when it was mentioned to band that they didn't have a single to be released. Sometimes simple and basic just works, what a great song. Tony had the riff, the drummer wrote the lyrics, Ozzy was reading the hand written words during the recoding. Brilliant.

Hard to beat simple when it also happens to be that good 👍

Thank you for going beyond the usual "now this fret number on this string and then this other number..." talk of many guitar tutorials and doing a bit of theory with the pentatonic and its boxes, the slide to this other box that was still the E minor pentatonic but in the other shape etc. etc. That's what makes a great tutorial: understading *why* Iommi (or whoever) did this or that, not merely the mechanic replicating of the fingers. This is what makes us learn and grow as musicians. Thank you again!

Thank you for making this video. Probably the most complete tutorial I have been able to find. Thank you for including both the scales and the tabs while you narrate, it makes following along easier! I would recommend also maybe leaving a couple of notes about how you achieved the tone too if I may make a suggestion. Great Videos!

Much appreciated thanks. Can't remember how I got that tone though sorry. That video is some time ago.

Massive thanks for the really excellent breakdown. I also find that understanding the pentatonic underneath changes things from random memorization to within the scale, a lot fewer notes. These are why I joined you on patreon.

Great lesson! Getting the rhythm right (1/8 notes, 1/16 notes etc.) and signing to help are great tips! There's a interesting groove to it with little short breaks (or instant pauses??) inserted amongst the solo. When these are placed correctly it all comes together.

Would you believe it...I am actually 'trying' to learn this particular song. I have cracked the rhythm guitar section...but the solo is really fast. I am practising at 50% tempo and working my way up...your lesson is a great bonus for me. Thank you.

Thanks Sherman, I've been thinking about doing some more videos about specific songs. The trouble is, sometimes KZbin will give you a copyright strike. That being said, I can test it out for "Let There Be Rock," ... a good song for sure :)

@@GuitarLessonsVancouver Thanks Blue, I totally get it about the Copywrite Strike.. All Good either way.. Thanks for trying..
