I just clicked on this I really love the sound you're getting out of your combination. I've always been a straight up player just some reverb no pedals nothing else I'd like to try that sound you're getting I generally play off a strat but I have several other kinds of guitars but not a tele. Some Ideas would be gladly taken into consideration. I plug you everyday into a pretty much modern crate but ever since I was in high school which is in started nineteen-seventies my main day was a fender bassman which I just played clean channel still in great shape it's just a bit much to lug around .

@@tomstulc9143 Fender Bassman sure would sound good. But my back and arms can't lift it haha. I use a Deluxe Reverb, or even just a pedal ... the UA Dream 65. I can't tell the difference.

I am absolutely devouring this lesson. I like how you just riff around the shapes instead of teaching a particular tune. One of my (many) flaws is once I learn a lick or a pattern I tend to go back to it instead of noodling around. In the past few days my noodling with this lesson has greatly increased my fret board knowledge. Perfect lesson at the perfect time in my development. Awesome job!

I certainly agree with a lot of the other comments! This is probably the most useful guitar lesson I have had in a quite a while! As soon as you mentioned the "let It Be" solo near the end of the video, the light bulbs went off for me! You lessons are excellent and thoughtful! Keep up the good work! I accidently found this the other day when I was watching Billy Gibbons play. I picked up the guitar and played the c, d and e bar chords and figured out how to slide to the major pentatonic for the major chord. Was amazed to see this lesson, this lesson has taken me the rest of the way.

@@Kevin-xg4yj Hi Kevin, sorry I don't have a video on that. But as long as you can read the numbers and lines on tab, you should be fine. You can use the MP3 downloads to listen to the rhythm of each exercise. Then just learn the notes by the tab, and the rhythm by listening to the tracks. Then you can learn to read the rhythms at a later day :)

This is what I needed. When watching someone teach theory without showing an application, I get frustrated though I know I have "some" chops and I can't be that daft. What you taught, Mr. Vancouver, made sense and is actual music. Very nice. I will buy your first book though learning from a book has not done me tons of good in the past. Now computer nerdy stuff, I can learn from a book. To learn music I like to see it, hear it and have simple explanation. You did this well. Thank you a few hundred tons. ☺
