I have the White Les Paul Custom version but not with the cut out on the headstock. I love it!! I intended on working on it and that's what I did but the fit and finish was great out of the box. It plays great and the setup was great. I replaced all the electronics with EMG solderless everything and installed EMG 57/66 pickups. I did adjust the neck relief a little and changed strings NYXL 09/42. It's got a good bone nut that's been smoothed out by AIO and the frets are smooth from AIO. The only other thing I'm going to do is change the tuning machines and the bridge. Graph Tech ratio tuning machines and Graph Tech bridge. Great guitar but looks like the prices are going up in 2022 better get one while you can. They are worth it!!

@@RByrne For the price point, I’m extremely happy with the build quality. The guitar arrived well packaged with lots of styrofoam and “crush zones” around the case (I upgraded to the SKB case which I highly recommend. Most important was the care AIO took with setting the guitar up prior to shipping. It made my transition from Acoustic Guitars even easier than I thought. My only surprise was how heavy the guitar is (definitely needs a good strap), but then again, I’ve been playing Acoustics for 50 years so no big surprise here. This guitar is honestly underpriced by $1,000 to $1,500.
@RByrne2 жыл бұрын
@Glenn Northrop thanks! Yeah, some LPs are insanely heavy and can vary greatly from one to the next. I picked up 2 Gibson classics today; one felt as light as a feather, and the other was one of the heaviest electrics I've played, and they were identical models. I guess it depends on the wood, and if the guy doing the weight relief actually did the work. That's cool that you like it. I'll be ordering one for myself and one for my nephew.

I just bought one of these used . I never heard of the brand but the quality looked good and it had good playability . I have many gibsons and I will say that this one plays pretty much the same . The only difference I noticed was when plugged into my Marshall head the pickups didn’t seem as “hot” as my gibson LPs ( I normally run about half gain on my jcm900 so by increasing gain on the head it compensated . Then I plugged it into my peavey head that had the gain all the way up and when not playing I got some screeching feedback which I don’t get in my Gibson . All in all though it’s a really nice guitar and I love the color of this red one he had in this video . I highly recommend .

I’ve got an Epiphone Custom LP 3 pup black beauty that was made in Korea, it’s upstairs as I write this but I think it’s an 03. It plays and sounds fantastic, which is why I’ve kept it. One thing I’ve noticed with Gibson head stocks, the clear coat always seems to flake off around the inlay. So you have a nice looking guitar with a crummy looking headstock. Funny how in the last couple of years it's suddenly okay to own a good quality affordable guitar (go figure!). A few years ago everyone was trashing Agile guitars because they were imports. I have an AL3500 Black Beauty with the following specs: 2-piece center joined mahogany body (you'll only find that on USA Gibsons). 3/4" genuine maple top. Compound radius ebony fretboard. Graphtech nut, Graphtech bridge with Graphtech String Saver Saddles, hand-filed frets, Alnico V wax-potted PU's with coil tapping, full size pots with brass shafts, Grover tuners. That guitar is better than any USA Gibson I've ever owned (well maybe except for the pickups), and it was $499, and made in Korea, not China. Fellow musicians laughed at me, and I said "play it". Jaws hanging open... I'm glad the snobbery is subsiding and "bang for your buck" is coming back!

How do the wolf guitars compare with the HB line of guitars
@GuitarMAXMusic3 жыл бұрын
Good question! I need to do a comparison with some of the newer Harley Benton LP models!
@ronsoberri74373 жыл бұрын
I have purchased 2 HB lp style guitars (xmas gifts for teenage kids). They were nice, for the price hard to beat. Just purchased the Wolf WLP for myself a month ago. I like the Wolf alot better. Wolf looks and plays alot better. My Wolfs set up was perfect right out of the box. Very happy with the Wolf.
@IDGAF_PLUS3 жыл бұрын
@@ronsoberri7437 How about the pickups between HB vs Wolf? The newer HB's have Tesla pups. The demos I saw/heard of them were pretty good, but of course you can make anything sound however you want in post. I think the Wolf WLP looks better than the HB SC 55O, and it has Grover tuners, but at face value not sure if it's worth almost double the HB. I guess one not so obvious plus with Wolf is that if you live in the USA you are supporting a business in the USA (even though product is import), and someone puts their hands on it and sets it up a few days before it hits your door vs weeks of crossing the ocean under who knows what conditions.
@ronsoberri74373 жыл бұрын
@@IDGAF_PLUS I dont know about the tesla pups. The models I bought didnt have those. I didnt buy the HB SC 550, I got the SC450. I had Set ups done on them. No regrets on my Wolf at all. HBs took forever getting here. I have ordered 3 HBs in the past. ( gifts for teen agers , nice for the money ) But if I plan on purchasing another budget guitar for myself, I will order another Wolf or AIO. I hope this helps.

You'll be surprised that both your Harley Benton SC-450 and Max's AIO (and Wolf) are manufactured by InYen Vina in Vietnam. They also do wholesales to Amazon under the brand IYV (abbreviation of InYen Vina) but often misspelled as IVY on Amazon.

Awesome cool guitar 😎. Is that real MOP on the fret inlay?

Beautiful guitar at an affordable price. Are they as susceptible to headstock breakage as official Gibson Les Paul guitars? Do you use a Reactive Load box when recording your demos? Thanks

I always thought the Black Beauties were triple Pick Up LP Customs?
@jakespade32273 жыл бұрын
That’s how I was raised. But now days any black LP basic shape with any gold tint to it is now a Black Beauty. 🤷♂️

I bought the Wolf red burst, just like yours. :) I really like it, a couple of spots where the stain bled onto the binding distracted me for a bit, but it's trivial. I do like the "black beauty" I like gold hardware, though many don't. I like gawdy guitars. I already have the Epiphone Frampton LP, but two black LPs hurts nobody.

Ok, so like so many others, an LP has always been one of those guitars that I have wanted and like so many others it has been out of reach financially or even justifiably. But now with a tonne of LP style guitars around the choice is no longer just LP or bust. I am about to pull the trigger to get one of these AIO SC77 models in either Gold, Black(like reviewed here) or the Tobacco Sunburst which I think looks amazing. Unfortunately both the Gold and Black are sold out or on pre-Order. Someone convince me to just take the Tobacco. Like Max, I too have always wanted a black beauty style with gold pickups etc.

Do yourself a favour and get an Epiphone if that’s the case. At least you’ll be able to trade up step by step till you finally get the guitar of your dreams. With these knock-offs, you’re stuck with a $0 value instrument.

What he says is true. I had a guitar that looked like a young Pamela Anderson, I wanted to grab it and play with it all day.

Definitely wouldn’t want to “play” a young Pam….

Looks and sounds great, but that abalone shell binding just ruins it for me 😩 should’ve stuck with cream
