It's good to hear that even Ryan doesn't really know what he does sometimes, when he's playing. I have this problem, too and used to be so damn upset about it, but hearing this, it had me realize again that as long as you accomplish what want to do, it doesn't really matter.

@14:00 That was the main reason why I preferred the previous lead player. Knight clearly had more technical skill but ..I think the band was in a pinch in 08....they heard that it was "that dude from Arsis" and just jumped blindly into it. I cant name any solo from either of the last two guys that are anywhere near as iconic as something from the first three records. I challenge anyone to.

Does anyone know the exact model of his guitar? I cannot find the tele body shop in the 550 series anywhere

Probs a custom. He used to play an RG with pink dimarzio pickups and everything lol, so yeah it's most likely a custom. Brian's natural finish ESP eclipse is custom as well.

I believe that it's an Ibanez prestige FR6 that was customized for him at the Ibanez custom shop, which is exclusive to artists.

david wilder It's a LACS model. Los Angeles Custom Shop, only available to Ibanez endorser's. Typically the artist even get the instrument for free. It's every Ibanez-whore's dream, and the only way to get a USA Made Ibanez these days.

I would'nt say that's immature. I dig hearing a Guitarist that tears it up to shreds but for me its gotta be done tastefully. I told you a while back, Im not a Guitarist, Im a Drummer. But I do play Guitar (I know my chords but couldn't play a lead to save my life) Anyhow when I hear a Guitarist shred for instance Paris is Burning. The one part that sounds fuckin cool and is probably easy to do. It's at 0.35 For me that's a taste riff, or Schenker Rock Bottom solo or The Man who does tasty shit and burns. you've already dissected his songs.
