Why is she smiling isn't it obvious. She is in the moment. Optimism fills her heart and the others who hear her. She does not force her voice that allows her octaves to come out naturally. Singing comes from proper breathing through the diaphram not the mouth.

Smiling while singing is also a technique that is taught and done by most well seasoned singers. I don't know the exact reason but the shape of your mouth when smiling helps with your tone in some sense. I may be off a bit on that, I'm not a singer but I know smiling while singing is a commonly taught technique.
